  • One of my hero's as well-I have always loved his music.

  • Warren used to come to The Pony in the late 80's and early 90's when his Werewolves success had died down. He usually came alone because it was too expensive for him to bring a band on the road. It was incredible to hear the "loudness" that he got out of his 12 string guitar and his piano. I didn't miss the backing band in those days. Warren always sounded as good live as he did on his recordings.

  • @manni62 Wow, I wish I could have listened, I'll bet you feel very privelged

  • @666alexifan If you ll excuse my spelling

  • I love this era of Zevon.

  • I have the same hero than Dave!

    R.I.P Warren!

  • An incredible talent. Saw him perform in Philly a couple times.

  • it is a complete and utter travesty that this man is not in the rock-n-roll hall of fame...

    this is rawsome, thank you...

  • yep, that's the way it's done

  • This is how it's done.

  • . . .Ohhhh 2b young again ----- thankz 4 the post

  • Love it.

  • Imagine if the news was always presented in a song.

  • Good song.... Great message

  • today was the first time i heard this song, at about 4 in the morning, with a full moon out and gin through the thick forest. i was just waiting to maybe see a glimps of Roland.

  • corruption i guess

  • someone needs to make a video for this with pictures

  • @IoSonoUomo why

  • it wud be cool

  • Not how did he die, but how did he live? Not what did he gain, but what did he give? These are the units to measure the worth Of a man as a man, regardless of birth. Not, what was his church, nor what was his creed? But had he befriended those really in need? Was he ever ready, with word of good cheer, To bring back a smile, to banish a tear? Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say, But how many were sorry when he passed away. R.I.P Warren Your light went out too early.
  • Great song, but what i don't understand is why the CIA wanted Roland dead. Roland was helping out the Congolese who were led by Mobutu, and he was out in power by the CIA. I don't get it.

  • He was "the best" Thompson gunner....but he wasn't an American, so they couldn't directly control him. People that are too good get put down.

  • he's also tearing that piano a new hole. great performance! watch how much hes "into it" with the head tilt on accented noted

  • One of my "all time" favorites by Warren.........Thanks for sharing......

  • Agree wholeheartedly with all five previous comments.

But, oh...those lyrics. Warren was an unforgiving sonuvabitch. And for that, I always respected him. Cheers!
