  • not bad we just learned this in class yesterday i'm working on my second and am having a little trouble i think i messed up somewhere when i made it refract my problem is i just put something in the globe and assigned a material but when i render it its like that material isn't even in there do you have an idea what i might have either forgotten or did wrong

  • @axeamnas i haven't worked with this stuff in about a year, my best guess would be to check what kind of material it is, ie bilinear, spherical... i forget what the options are, but as far as I know, i mostly used blinn or surface mapping. for the globe, set the opacity to somewhere around 10% visibility. if you have refraction set at 100, you probably won't see it. try lessening the values of each effect and see if that doesn't fix it for you

  • how do we make the snowflakes collide in the ground?

  • Not bad :D

  • Cool :D They sure as hell don't look easy! :O

  • No offense man, these are really well made and all, but, you must have a lot of time on your hands...

  • It's all for school and they're quite easy after the first level of animation. It's what I'm most likely going to do for business someday.
