  • Sally of Vallejo, California, had been ordered by the court to vacate the family home. But the day she was supposed to move out, she accused her husband Joe of pushing her. Joe spent the night in jail. The judge later dismissed the charges. Even the cop was apologetic, said Joe. She told me she didnt believe (my wife), but that she had to arrest me because the accusation had been made.

  • : (!!! its just going to get worse!! trust me i know from experience.. i stuck around for 2 years.... stilll there not going to lie its hard to leave

  • a person can be arrested for simply acting in self-defense:

Lisa Ortiz attacked her boyfriend, Baltimore Orioles pitcher Scott Erickson, by throwing objects at him. To protect himself, Erickson carried Ortiz out of his

apartment. Even though Ortiz suffered no injuries, the police arrested Erickson.

Ortiz later admitted that Erickson has never been physically abusive toward me,

and in no way do I feel threatened or have I felt fear from Scott.

  • It is not known how many domestic violence arrests involve allegations that are frivolous or false, but one former DV prosecutor in Georgia wrote, As politically incorrect as it is to say, many women file charges against boyfriends/spouses on a routine basis, and then recant the charges when the cases come to trial. Some of the alleged perpetrators are really guilty, and [a] very large percentage (though not majority) are not guilty of anything except making the woman in their life angry.

  • Many persons assume a criminal charge of domestic violence involves an actual assault. But about one-third of domestic violence criminal prosecutions do not arise from a physical attack. One analysis in New York City found that 15% of the cases that went to criminal court involved criminal contempt (typically arising from restraining order violations) and 20% included crimes such as harassment, criminal mischief, and larceny.

  • continue 3. The result is that in many states, almost any action, violent or not, can be construed as domestic violence.

  • Continue 2.Good laws rely on definitive and unambiguous definitions. But VAWA employs thevague term includes, a word that opens the door to broad interpretations. State legislatures have used that loophole to enact domestic abuse statutes that allow persons to claim they are merely afraid or fearful as the basis for a domestic restraining order. Now, 63% of all states definitions of domestic abuse include psychological distress and 33% incorporate the ill-defined allegation harassment.

  • Gud stuff

  • the funny thing is that more women hit man....

  • To:Thestreetdog. Nothing funny about it, and check your facts. It is a gendered issue with the overwhelming majority of survivors being female and their abuser being male.

  • To: "Tigerslat" FACT:

Women are at least as likely as men to engage in partner violence.31 A recent 32-nation survey of dating couples found that among severely violent couples, in 55% of cases the violence was mutual, in 16% of cases the violence was male-only, and 29% of the time it was female-only.32 In Mexico, partner violence follows a similar picture: 65% mutual,16% male-only, and 19% female-only.

Also, A lot of MAN does not report Female Violence cuz they fear embarrassment.

    Thanx

  • Women don't report domestic violence because they're scared for their lives. I'd take embarassment over fear any day.

Violence is not just physical abuse, it's intimidation, financial control, isolation, name calling, degradation, sexual abuse, forcing children to abuse their mum.

Im not sure you understand the dynamics of a relationship where there is total power and control. I've looked at how DV is recorded, if she defends herself or swears at him then it's recorded as mutual...

    Thanks

  • "Tigersplat" And MAN does not report Domestic Violence because the Victim gets arrested.

Domestic Violence is "financial Control", Intimidation, name calling, degradation, LOL.

See how Feminist corrupt courts operate. Calling anything Violence even if it has to do nothing with Violence. LOL.

OH, u forgot to put in there that if the FATHER is trying to get custody of the children through legal means is "DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TOO" hahah

  • Broad Definitions of Domestic Violence

The Violence Against Women Act defines domestic violence this way:

The term domestic violence includes felony or misdemeanor crimes of violence

committed by a current or former spouse of the victim, by a person with whom

the victim shares a child in common, by a person who is cohabitating with or has

cohabitated with the victim as a spouse.

Good laws rely on definitive and unambiguous definitions, continue 1.
