  • I DESPERATELY wanted one of these, but don't think I ever got one. LOL just seeing this commercial brings it all back. But I agree with 1952kid, the commercials were probably WAY better than the real thing. It was usually that way back then...

  • My Mom bought me one of those for my seventh birthday. I loved it, It made tasty sno cones too. I believe mine was broken after the summer was over a year later, After the sweet stuff that it had included in the box ran out. My dad bought Kool Aid and we used that instead.

  • I remember the commercials being much better than the real toy , and after a half hour , you put it away . Or something had 'C' batteries and they went dead after one day, and your parents didn't want to spend money on more batteries .I do remember my mother rotating our toys every month , so they were new again and interesting . I saw this Snow Cone toy for 30.00 at a antique store.

  • This thing was the best! I think I might even still have it?

Yes it would shred fingers too! LOL

  • Oh man. I can't remember the last time I heard this commercial. I still never had one of my own.

  • I got this on my fifth birthday in 1965.

it would shred your fingers too.

  • I had one of those things when I was a kid. Got it for my 7th birthday, which is in mid June. Me and another kid were gonna open up a snowcone stand with it. We were in business for one day. Ice melts awfully fast in the Louisiana summer heat. Nowadays some govt. scumbag would probably come close down any kid who tried to open up a snowcone stand and put the parents in jail. Sad, what's become of this country.

  • I remember these things!

  • Anyone as a kid think they had Josie and the Pussycats singing on this? I know I did. LOL

  • Didn't those things break really easy? It seems they would given how flimsy the construction looks.

  • It was a great commercial that brought back a lot of memories.

    Thanks for the post.

Now, if someone could just find the old "BombPop" popsicle commercial.

  • A real piece of shit toy. Unlike the commercial, it was very hard to turn the crank to turn the ice cubes into 'snow'. It was a piece of plastic junk that you'd use once or twice, then it ended up in the basement or garage, never to be used again!

  • @ Jared33647 ...Of course you could buy more mix for it. But when you are a kid, something new always came along in like two seconds so who cared about more mix. It was on to the next new toy. lol

  • It was fun for the first few uses, until I ran out of everything. Then it ended up in the basement. Funny thing is, my mom still has it in her basement. My wife teased the shit out of me until I found HER easy bake oven in her moms basement. Lol!

  • couldnt you buy more mix for it tho

  • @symbiote LOL...Any of us who were kids during that time era had crazy toys like that. They'd advertise them shamelessly during the Saturday morning cartoons and then we kids would beg for them for our birthdays or Christmas. I have to admit, I do miss those days. : )

  • HEHEHE

  • I had this toy and had hours of fun with it. They sure don't make them like this anymore!

  • remember it,wanted it,didn't get it.

  • I've had this tune in my head for ages...I knew it'd wind up on YT! A thousand thanks yous VTVC!

  • had that too... lol... feeling my age now :-)

  • did'nt have to worry about lead poisoning then

  • Oh dear heavens. I suddenly remember that theme song. Kind of rocks.
