  • looked first 20 sec and stoped cuz the gas stove haha .. never try it with a gas stove ..

  • MUST....RESIST....CLICKING...ON....HOW TO MAKE CRACK COCAINE VIDEO!!!

  • BUT WHAT IF YOU ARE LACTOSE INTOLERABLE?

  • how to make crystal clear videos...

  • why was this in my recomended videos?

  • If had a pixel for every retarded comment in this video I'd have 1080p

  • 240p ..we meet again

  • If I had a dollar for every pixel in this video... I'd still have one dollar.

  • If I had a sandwich for every pixel in this video I would starve to death....

  • I am so tired of seeing this. It doesn't work, unless you are making tiny ice cubes. You can get a lot clearer ice by freexing in a cooler to slow the freezing process, but to get them really clear is not nearly so simple.

  • Did u record this behind a wall of ice cubes?

  • @Icemantheman lol

  • I love how many pixels there are in your video... Perfect HD resolution on my ipod nano...

  • 240p we meet again...

  • Those will go great in a Gin and Tonic!

  • i love resolts

  • My ice cube tray melted :(

    lol

    jk

  • Man, you must have some really bad water like we did for two months....If you have to filter and double boil WOW.....Once on the fire should eliminate any O2 thats in that water...thats the reason for the WHITE look in water thats frozen

  • I thought you meant methamphetamine when I saw "how to make ice"

  • I am assuming that since hot water in unable to hold oxygen in quantities as great as cold water does, that it is the loss of oxygen that clears up the ice. Not sure, but I would be willing to bet that placing a cover (tin foil? silicone cookie sheet) directly on top of the water as you take it off the "boil", it will eliminate the need for a second boil, and make the ice even clearer. I'll give it a try.

  • I am so EMBARASSED by cloudy ice. So now i can boil water twice and make a tray of clear cubes in only five hours.

  • @oracle2world Lol... it is funny though...

  • @oracle2world funniest comment i've ever read on youtube

  • @TheSalty42 bullshit. If you boil it for 1 second and you let it cool covered, you won't concentrate anything. Fluoride is nuclear? aluminum radioactive poison? what the hell are you saying? In italy we cook pasta with boiling water even twice a day (water can boil up to 20 minutes), following your theory it should be enriched of fluorides and all the other poisons but our health has no problem.. To concentrate fluorides you should boil 10 liters of water until you get 1/20. (sorry 4 mistakes)

  • wait ... who the fuck cares about making ice

  • @kickfliplateflip82 Aspiring bartenders and mixologists, for one. Ice is an important component of cocktails, and clear ice can be the difference between a good cocktail and a great cocktail.

  • a recipe for ice!! GOOD JOB

  • thumbs up if you thought this vid was on how to make ICE, METH

  • breaking bad

  • now if only that worked for the quality of the video...

  • why are all the related video about making meth?

  • @JorgeDX3 "How to make crystal" doesn't make itself out enough for ya?

  • @punkgangstermetihead same here

  • I have tried this many different ways. Clear ice also has to do with the speed at which it freezes and well as cube thickness. You can't just double boil filtered water and get clear ice in my freezer, it freezes too fast. It needs to freeze slowly. It's a bit of a science... I should make a video.

  • your ice clear,but your cam...ermmm...

  • before i die i have to make a clear ice cubes otherwise i wont rest in piece and be the ice cube haunting ghost

  • Comment removed

  • This is interesting, but with today's high cost of energy, it's not worth it.

  • nice cant wait to try it

  • Record with a potato! Lol I got tears!!!

  • did u record this with a potato?

  • @zbdre Yeah must have been GlaDos

  • how to get a better camera...

  • anyone else looking up how to make crystal meth and clicked on the wrong video?

  • @555skooterboy bingo lol...

  • now to use one of them japanese ice ball makers on them and you are a god!

  • I know it's not your video, but I am sitting here wondering ... why did someone make this and show the world how to... um... make clear cubes? huh? a tiny bit of soda water swirled with it actually will help, too... but it is more a chemical reaction... but if you ever need SPOTLESS silverware, the see your face in it, assuming it's still shiny and not banged up/rough from use, soda water (carbonated water) in a cup, dip the spoons etc, dry, voila, spotless! Restaurant trick. Clear ice, though?

  • this is so cool!!!

  • awesome.

  • for clear ice use stainless steel not plastic cube

  • @maximilli111 lololololol I tried this and it didn't work how ironic and did I spell begging wrong.

  • Results is spelled wrong in the begging.

  • @isaac10231 Irony...

  • you know you can just put warm water and itll do the same shit

  • i thought this was going to be about making crystal meth (ice) lol.

  • u melted it, your cloudy ice can turn into something like that too simply by meliting it

  • too much bro

  • cock

  • @dippindcp100 i agree with that statement

  • awesome i hope it works

  • Don't work, I tried it.

  • OR... you could just use distilled water :P

you can buy it in most major grocery stores.

When I was in Quebec, they were making the clear ice for their ice sculptures with distilled water.

It works because distilled water has very few minerals dissolved in it, making the water crystallize uniformly and clearly.

  • @Hassasin195

NEVER EVER USE DESTILLED WATER FOR SOMETHING YOU WANT TO EAT OR DRINK! (You won't eat Icecubes .. but they would melt in the drink you put them in.) .. IT CAN CAUSE DEHYDRATION (and then death)!

  • @MoNt3c0r3

But I love eating award winning ice sculptures! :(

    Jks :P

But I agree with you totally, the water has no minerals or nutrients, and it tastes bland :P

  • i dont really care that much

  • man you cam sucks

  • @inventor69780 another retarded

  • fuck that for clear ice.

  • yes intrusting. i do it a simialr way.

  • thats really cool...thank you 4 help xD

  • who would care what an ice cube looks like....it does its job.

  • @thebombdiggityawesom

    Bartenders would.

  • Use a kettle?

  • Thats waisting of energy!

  • @roldor3 yep it's true

  • Pretty Cool man .. Nice .

  • This is how eskimos make windows.

  • @bigfellaandy great insight

  • anybody who knows anything about chemistry will tell you boiling water does not decompose the exact chemicals which exist in water.

  • ice is ice

  • my fridges ice dispenser already makes clear ice....

  • The resolts of this video are horrendous

  • even refreezing the water might work - anything that gets rid of the air inside the water - keeping in motion too, too fast and it will just add more O2.

Hmm you can always use the water heater get the 2L or similar and since it also has usually a filter it would filter out any impurities (if tap water), like calcium compounds in harsh water.

And why not to use distilled water? if u find a cheap way to buy it - it would have no taste so it would not mess with the taste of the drink.

  • @Mofran56 Are you retarded? Obviously you can't read, the description clearly says "NOT MY VIDEO."

  • @FridayNightLights321 you're retarded - assuming he is talking to you.

  • @Mofran56 does it matter anyway...

HE SPELLED RESULTS WRONG HE MUST BE RETARDED!!!..........

  • @Mofran56

Nope, he is not retarded...because that's not his video dumb ass and only 13 year old losers start their sentences by saying "LOL".

Congrats douchebag you just set the record for biggest blindiest dumb ass on this planet.

  • does it make juice look clearer?

  • We keep water in motion to make crystal clear blocks of ice. They are 300 lb blocks though. I didnt know you could boil water to make clear small cubes. I have heard using warm water when fusing ice will make a more invisible seam, I guess that could be true! Good Video. too see Ice Sculptures check out John Flottman on Facebook!

  • RESOLT?! what the watch your english dude..

  • if you hold the cloudy one itt will turn clear one :D

  • When water freezes quickly, the molecules dont get the chance to form a crystalline structure, so instead they are frozen in an amorphous structure. When light passes through ice the structure of the molecules determines the amount of light able to pass through.

So next time you can save yourself an hour's worth of work by simply using warm water, you can even heat some purified bottled water in the microwave and freeze it and get clear ice. PS microwaving water wont irradiate it.

  • awesome now show me how to wipe my butt this video.

  • what are resolts?

  • KIND OF SCARY WHAT THE HELL ARE WE PUTTING IN OUR BODY

  • Waste of gas and time.

  • yeah..you boiled all the oxygen out of the water...now the cubes will taste like shit and ruin your drinks...I WILL TRY THIS RIGHT NOW!

  • @iWriteOink LOL

  • mine are usually quite clear anyway. maybe its a scottish thing :P

  • I like cloudy ice. How do I make it more cloudy?

  • @breezebro piss in the water before freezing.

  • too many steps!!! for ME i would just put water in a tray and freeze it...;DDDD

  • and in the bars, they do it, in the same way?? :s

now i know why sometimes, drinks are expensive

  • Who cares if you would want to use these clear ice cubes or not. At least you learned how this damn thing is made. That's all it matters.

  • I double boiled distilled water and it is much clearer, but not totally clear for sure. My problem is that my ice is cracking when I freeze it, any ideas why?

  • pretty :) great for cocktails i guess

  • wow, really cool. But wouldnt you be able to just use spring water? I dont know maybe not but good job!

  • Man to me it doesn't matter because its gonna melt and your gonna consume it anyways :P But having Clear Ice Cubes like in your restaurant would look nice to the customers, if they would really even notice...

  • I was thinking the method for clear ice cubes would be to somehow freeze the water as it's in motion (I believe that IS actually another method to achieve the same results).

I was not expecting this method to be the answer! ^___^

  • @SamIves85

Bunch of idiots thumbing you down for some reason. Yes freezing water while it's in motion will get the same result as it doesn't let the minerals settle in the centre. It's a lot harder to do though.

  • bottom line is that it's better to have clear one in nice Ketel One Vodka instead of the Cloudy ones. CLoudy makes it look cheaper and weaker. Would you like to wear a shirt and suit that is WRINKLED or PRESSED? It's same as that i think!

  • @temka892004 Actually there is more to it. The most important thing is that clear ice cubes were made form boiled water therefore ice cubes are healthier. Most if not all germs and bacteria dies at boiling point. If you see a cloudy ice cube in a restaurant then you know that ice cube had been made from a tap water.

  • who would wanna go through all that work to make an ice cube

  • does this mean its better to use cloudy cubes in our drinks?

  • LOL cool

  • I think I enjoyed the comments more than this video! freakin halarious!!

By the way, what IS wrong with cloudy ice cubes?

  • I don't know about everyone else but i needed to know how to make crystal clear ice so i can make an ice lens for physics. Its gonna be epic!

  • He didn't fucking say that there is fucking wrong with cloudy fucking ice cubes if you read the fucking intro, it says "Tired of cloudy ice cubes?! THEN make them crystal clear.

  • So AGAIN, what is wrong with cloudy ice cubes? Why the hell would you be tired of them?

  • Ummm... I don't know. We have our own issues. Maybe ask bush why the fuck did he became president.

  • nothing is wrong with cloudy ones, in fact they have more nutrients and it is slightly better for you although the difference in health isnt noticable

  • cool but u know most ppl dont have a problem wid cloudy ice cubes

  • Man I thought this was about cooking meth, lol, but this was good to know! :D

  • lol all you have to do if your so perticular about ice cubes run it under got water for about 5 seconds not enough to melt it much but yea and you have clear

  • wow thats too much work just for a clear icecube but its still pretty cool

  • @Kyralee97 too much work??? you lazy fuck...you just boil water twice. how is that too much work?

  • @Kyralee97

    That's a serious stove!

  • Do u let the water cool all the way or u just let it until it gets warm? I didnt realy understand that part

  • im going to try that!! hahaha.. fun !!!

  • do i understand that drinking water aren't pure ? or clean ? and filtered is ? and do i understand that boiling the water might make it pure ice ? i mean like with out the cloudy thing in it ?

  • Well tap water has chlorine, fluoride, copper and in some places trace amounts of sulfur added to it. So no, it isn't pure.

They filtered the water first to remove those unnecessary elements and then double boiled to remove excess oxygen from the water.

  • Depends where you live. am pretty sure it just takes the calcium carbonate and other minerals out of the water....

But if this stays in the drinking water, it's not unhealthy or unpure at all.

The thing with the ice cubes probably works with destilled water too.

On the other hand, it just depends on the water quality of your region. Do you live in the mounaints....or in a city, which has recicled water....

  • cool

  • yes

  • i just put cold drink water

  • is bottled water filtered water?

  • lol yea or else your water would be GARBAGE in a bottle

  • No, most bottled water is just tap water unless it explicitly states it's from spring. Also water absorbs plastics (open a bottle of water take a sip then close it and drink again in a weeks time and you'll taste the plastic) so it's worse then tap water since it's not only got the nasty chemicals/elements its also got plastic in it!

  • Actually most bottled water is filtered water with things like florid added and its probably its tiny bit chlorinated unless of course it says "purified through reverse osmosis" and usually they say that. This means the water is purified without the addition of anything else. Its not just Tap because they cant see tap water as spring water because that would result in a law suit. the leaching of chemicals due to plastic bottles is not always true. It depends on the type of plastic used; #1 or #2

  • this guy spelled results wrong

  • why wouldn't it be?

  • well...i doubt if even 1 of us will do this....its just too much effort for .. nothing..isn't it?

  • You guy's have the emotional intelligence of a dead autistic child. Learn to take a joke...

  • So what happens if you burn the water? Do you have to start over?

  • haha...

  • This has nothing to do with making illegal drugs. This video is about how to get rid of the dissolved nitrogen/oxygen in tap water before it is frozen into ice cubes. By boiling the water, the air is boiled out, leaving pure water that can be frozen. With icebergs, the trapped air bubbles give them a bluish hue.

How does the pope make holy water? He boils the hell out of it!

  • Comment removed

  • This refers to molecular oxygen (like, in the air, as a gas) dissolved in the water. You can dissolve gases in water similar to how you can dissolve solids.

This is related to how carbonated drinks get... carbonated.

  • idiot

  • are you stupid?

Did you know that crystal meth is the worlds most dangerous drug?

I can not believe whats in your mind!!?

do yourself a favour.. don't take this toxic waste!

  • thats not crystal meth

  • it was a reply to the person above

  • what did he say?

  • ITS SOOOO PRETTY.

  • ive tryed this 2 times after watching this and it didnt work!

  • how about not pouring so high? because that gets air into it

  • Heat it..
