@syazuaty ~ Again I am WAY behind replying to you! Please forgive me!
Glad you like this idea! We don't buy 'scrubbies' any more...just use these until we either lose them or they need replacing. Free is always a good price! (o:
Brilliant! I am loving these tips. I have been looking for more and more ways to stay away from the stores. It not only saves money, but saves time to not be at the store. Plus, in this economy, simple things like this help make us self sufficient. I am working on homemade cleaners and am saving a ton of $ and many hours on trips to the store! It's not only a more frugal life, it is a simpler life!
So do you have any tips on using less paper towels? I am a paper towel aholic! I am beginning to think that as long as they are there, I will always reach for them. I have recently found some light duty sponges to use on my ceramic top stove, so no more paper towels there, but I need to cut back more.
Thanks so much for sharing with us. I love how real and practical you are!
The biggest tip would be to go all cloth....but that's hard to do. I LOVE flour sack clothes but they are super hard to find.
Another idea would be to take a knife or razor and cut the tube in half all the way through to be about the size of a toilet paper role - (if you're using 'select-a-size' then they are tiny!) and they still fit on the roller, you just use only one side at a time.
Got my wheels turning now...I'll have to think more on other options!
I'm really glad someone told me about your videos. I am not even sure who it was, lol! Still, they are great and I appreciate you making them. Your ideas are simple and pratical and that is what I look for. Also, being a big visual learner, being able to see how things are done and not just told is wonderful!
Thank you for dropping in those encouraging comments! Glad you are enjoying the 'odd' things that are shared! They do seem to help us, so I just thought they'd help others!
I've seen instructions to do this before but they were always tedious and involved sewing or some time wasting thing. I like that with your way you just knott it up. And Thanks for the washability tip.
I love watching your channel and I get so many great ideas. Keep up the good work.
HEY - Learned something new on an old item I was using!! Your comment made me think to try it! I also realized when I used this last night, that you can stuff a wash-rag inside it to hold more suds! Thanks!!!
(o: - Sewing...not my strong point...at all! I agree - don't like to waist time either. The fact that it opens up again to clean is actually one of my favorite parts!
Awesome idea!!never thought of it!thanks for sharing it!

Ah! GREAT idea!
We (okay no *I*) eat a lot of mushrooms and yep, they need room to 'breath' - GREAT new use! Thanks!

Good point!
And keeping bait live too!
Since I don't fish, this doesn't cross my mind! (o:

I have heard people in taiwan used mesh produce bags as a egg cutter for your egg mayonnaise sandwiches.
What you need to do is to squeeze a boiled egg through the mesh. Simple!

Aww..that is an awesome idea!
Yes I WILL be using that now too! What a time saver. Thank you so much for sharing that.
