  • His fingers are so blurred you dont know whether he has ten...or fifteen.

  • OMG.... Such talent. :)

  • Piano Settings - Easy, Medium, Difficult, Extremely Difficult and RUSSIAN.

  • @MrWatson193 Although I completely agree with you, I just think you forgot "Impossible to play" just before RUSSIAN.

  • 17 people got sacrificed to Satan on the bald mountain

  • How can someone dislike this masterpiece and this very good adaption!?

  • @AnnaRoberts9

he must be an accomplished gamer.

  • that's amazing!!

i tried to play that song and guess what: i completely failed haha :'D

  • how? HOW???

  • I listen to this so many times each day...

  • I just died and went to heaven. That was AMAZING.

  • respect.

  • Normal human beings have a thumb, an index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and a pinky. Berezovsky has a thumb, an index finger, an index finger, an index finger, and an index finger. Maybe a couple more.

  • @Zarhejo OMG ! Liszt would be so easy to play for Mr. Berezovsky ! Awesome !

  • I didn't knew that Severus Snape plays piano that good....

  • That fucking bass line at 5:07 !!!

  • Fucking sick! :D

  • Outstanding performance, FANTASTIC!!! This is one of the best transcription of this piece of Modest Mussorgsky, arranged by Rimsky-Korsakov

  • oh my goooooooooooooooooood!!!!fantastic fantasia!!!

  • i love this piano transcription, but i really wish the ending was played with a soft tremolo instead. Berezovsky is amazing

  • FANTASIA

  • would love to see the sheets for this....

  • @minrah it's already on youtube lol.

  • even if you never heard the name Modest Mussorgsky before you still recognise this music. Especially if you like horro movies

  • @XellDincht or super mario XD

  • Music transcends the limits of language.

  • i like it,but i prefer the orchestral version....

  • 17 people: Night on Bald Brains

  • ¡¡¡¡¡ O_O ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • He is a reason to be proud of humanity

  • no...0:8

  • but he plays one off-beat note at around 0:11...now I feel better

  • wonder what goes on in his head...or maybe not...probably'd melt my face off

  • @mongolenpup

might be something from a Clockwork Orange lol you might not know what i mean by that if u haven't seen that film

  • ALIENS INVASION!!!! >:D

  • earthworm jim... best jump n` run

  • On hearing this I decided to learn the piece. It's great fun, although I do not enjoy the awkwardness of the chromatic scales.

  • I like this piece, but I don't get the part at 2:55, It seems to break away from the theme of it.

  • @shadowface90 I've always imagined it a glimpse of light and virtue amidst the darkness. As if one's spirits lifted with the coming dawn.

  • @shadowface90 it is a composition with many parts and many contrasting elements. Forget the "one song one theme" style that we are used to in modern music.

  • 16 people with no musical taste, so sad!

  • not human --.-- --> 5:11

  • How can his fingers do that? So amazing.....and really, who would dislike this video? They must be people with no talent.

  • Amazing blows my mind

  • He is the Chernabog playing the keys messing with the demons creating chaos .

  • OH SHIT.

  • All Slayer, Kreator, Sodom, Violent Force, Tankard, Venom, And so on are just pussies compared to this

  • @udistritalextrema wow you just compared thrash/black metal to a piano variation of a classical piece you must feel so proud! your an idiot for comparing two TOTALLY DIFFERENT music styles. thats like comparing sex to masterbation, theres no contest and you seriously fail for doing so. (btw im a metal head)

  • @AgentOrange921 which is sex and which is masterbation?

  • @afertyus1000 lol good question, ill let you figure that out XD

  • @AgentOrange921 ha yea sex is classical and masterbation is thrash/black metal

  • @afertyus1000 lol i agree. i mean im a huge metal head but i listen to alot of classical as well in my opinion, they both have their good points. from both a metal head and guitarist's point of view, their both equally difficult

  • I feel really proud that my last name is also Chernov

  • Fenomeno, fottuto fenomeno. Fenomeni tutti.

  • And THAT is how it's done!! Amazing.

  • brilliant! simply amazing!

  • este weon puta que es weno.....

  • ok and who the fuck dislikes this?

  • there was a donkey kong country track that was A LOT like this

  • bloody hell this guy is fast!

  • absolutely amazing! bald mountain is one of favorite classical pieces, and you just made it better!

  • From 0:13 to 0:17 I clearly see the piano key held down although no finger is touching it.. does anyone see it aswell ?

  • @AngryCholo yes i see it.. but actually he uses his second numbered finger (forefinger).

  • @AngryCholo between black keys.

  • @AngryCholo : I think he was pressing the upper part of the key so it is not very clearly seen

  • @AngryCholo

Its either being pressed slightly higher therefore less noticeable, orrrr, it might be the light/shadow from his hands moving so quickly.

  • человек-оркестр

  • is this real or magic?

  • @lbreakzl Something like a combination of these. Neverthless, mindblowing.

  • @bass109 lol

  • If I were ever to reach 30-40% of Berezovsky's talent, I'd consider myself extremely lucky as a pianist.

I don't know how he does it... but then again, as a Chemistry major, I can't dedicate the time I wish I could to piano. /jealousy

  • This piece of music was also used in the bridge scene in the film Saturday night fever...not even Mussorgsky would have ever imagined that

  • How the hell does his fingers have the strength to go on and on for almost 9 minutes?!?!?! :O It's phenomenal.

Plus he's memorised ALL of the piece....Jesus..

  • @AnnaRoberts9 muscle memory and practice! =D

  • @AnnaRoberts9 LMFAO I KNOW ITS AMAZING, YO

  • Comment removed

  • At 0:37 - 0:38, his fingers hurts the piano!!!!

  • Holy sandal in a bucket, the transcription is amazing.I need the sheet!

  • @Tonythemusicman136 You know you're right...it's amazing!!!

  • THIS IS AMAZING.. he reminds me of mr. darcy XD

  • classical music always beats modern music, and this came from a cartoon

  • @Bodacious70 no it doesnt! it was used in a cartoon

  • @Bodacious70 Fuck not.

  • my hand would get so tired by the first 15 seconds.

  • Wow, I wonder how many of the people commenting on theis masterfully executed magesty are only 17, like myself. I accually LOOKED for this guy playing this song, too.

  • Of the Russian by the Russian and for the world!

  • where I get the Partiture (Score)?

  • @ElefantinhoTocando search for IMSLP on google

  • chernabog is with him

  • I love the intense expression on his face

  • i always though when i used to play it at 5:08 yes yes, when is this passage over?

  • 14 people are bald-faced liars.

  • I grew up listening to him. He's one of my inspirations >:P

  • Thumps up for those who came her to see, if they might be able to learn this classic piece, and now feel totally owned!!

  • @tuffe90 oh yeah so true thumbs up :)

  • Mindblowing...

  • Trully amazing...

  • FUCK YES.

  • The lack of sheet music makes my head explode O.o I'm jealous of this man's ability

  • Holy fucking shit this guy is crazy in a good way!

  • Oh my god. This is absolutely disturbing and so fucking amazing!

  • Absolutely stunning. How come he can play what was written for a 14-piece ensemble? Incidentally, Modest Mussorgsky's music only really came to the public attention when, after he died aged 45, his work was published by his friend Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. Just as well - we'd never have seen this clip!

  • @novelist4fun mussorgsky composed it on piano.

and even though there are multiple instruments, ever since bach, there are 4 voices in each piece. rarely, if ever, anyone wrote anything for more than that.

  • OMG, it's just perfect.

  • oh... it's just a god

  • Holy ridiculously fast arpeggios batman!

  • This has got to be the most sinister piece of music ever composed. You got to be one fuckin' brilliant pianist to pull this one off.

  • @CitySkin09 this piece is awsome but check out liszt's hamlet ,

it is as evil if not more.

  • @theanguished1 -- Alright, will do. Thanks for the recommendation.

  • Damn, I like how he scratches his nose at 2:15 right in the middle of all that beautiful madness he's playing.

  • wonderful <3

  • Best version I've ever heard, I'm speechless!

  • I finally have this whole song down except for the bass line at 5:07. For some reason, I'm having trouble coordinating that into it...

    Anyone else have this problem..

  • Just out of curiosity as some of you are performing this - how many years experience would you need to be able to play it?

  • @Twentysixbillion

There's no real amount of experience you need... really all you need is patience and motivation.

  • @Ragtime44Films That's good to know thanks, one of my goals is to eventually play this piece.

  • as a heavy metal fan i have to respect Mussorgsky's work !

  • @amz392

Why? So many people say that, but i can't follow that point.

  • @peidaer Heavy metal would not have been made if it was not for music like this. there is some similarity in something about it

  • wow, i want scream!! i damn love this piece, and also berezovsky. such perfect job he did!

  • Wow, i have to cover this song...

  • @pvtrammell as long as you play it well you do. i'm currently working on it :D

  • @socalguy2186 its the only way I would ever.. i got one part of it down.. 1:12 - 2:20 part seemed easier than others to me..

  • @pvtrammell Good answer :D

  • @socalguy2186

I have the music for it... I tried it, but I sorta needed to wait for my hands to get bigger, haha. Until then, I'm working on Rhapsody in Blue. You guys must be pretty good pianists though, so... uh... keep it up. Haha.

  • @Ragtime44Films 1. You don't need big hands...I'm 23 and 5'0" even and my hands are tiny. You just need to learn to be resourceful :) You yourself must be pretty talented to be working on Rhapsody in Blue! I freaking LOVE that song, I've been playing it for a few years now and I have 24 pages memorized of it. Keep up the good work, good to know a talented pianist with a good head on their shoulders unlike half the morons on YouTube.

  • @socalguy2186

Thanks! And I guess you're right... it's just been really hard to do that beginning part so fast.

  • @Ragtime44Films The beginning is pretty tough but I'll give you a tip. You know how it goes A, G sharp, A, B flat, A, G sharp and just alternates that pattern? What I do is use my right thumb for the A's and then just alternate playing G sharp and B flat with my pointer. Then again, I mostly use my thumb n pointer for trilling too, so I can play abnormally fast with those two fingers...hope that helps.

  • @socalguy2186

Oh, cool. Thanks! That'll probably work. But would you say this is much harder than Rhapsody in Blue?

  • @Ragtime44Films HECK no. Rhapsody is the greatest song ever, but it's been the bane of my existence for years cuz of the fast parts toward the end at about pg. 24 ish. That and the chords are insane throughout. So I'd definitely consider Night on Bald Mountain easier.

  • @socalguy2186

    Oh wow, that's encouraging.

Anyway, I'm not that far into Rhapsody in Blue, I've been working on it about 7 or 8 months now and I'm just about done memorizing the 11'th page I think. But it's coming along.

  • @Ragtime44Films Sorry lol. It's not that bad for the most part, just the one fast part at the end.

  • @socalguy2186

What? No no, i wasn't being sarcastic. I thought Night on Bald Mountain was like, 200 times harder. But now I'm encouraged to try Night on Bald Mountain.

  • @Ragtime44Films Oh yeah, me too :D I love it and can't wait to perform it on AGT next season...hopefully.

  • =O

    i love this song.

i must learn it on piano now.

  • @alixinthemiddle I want to too!! :)

  • this guy iz ASTOUNDING!!!!

  • do you recon he has to plug himself into something at night to recharge his 'awesome' level?

  • it's in the classic videogame, Earthworm Jim.. =)

  • 5:13 left hand O.o

  • @zabuzato Yes, it's unbelievable. On Hexameron's channel there is a video with the score. Sometimes I would cut off the head of post-producers of piano videos: I want to see the keyboard, not the pianist's face!

  • @LeoOrnstein thanks man.

  • @LeoOrnstein

Why always look on their fingers? People should only listen, and forget visual aspects. So, music is much more comprehensible. Thats no criticism, only a opinion. Greets from Leipzig.

  • @peidaer Your point is a good one, I was only very angry because I would have really liked to see a particular, unbelievably difficult passage in order to see how it's possible to play it. If you are interested, Hexameron posted on his channel a recording with the score. Greets from Torino. : )

  • @LeoOrnstein

Thanks, glad you understood my point. Sure, to see someone is playing a hard particular is interesting, and for some studies it is not bad, so i see, you were annoyed with this video ;-). The score is open source, so you can download it legal from the internet. Tried it last week, and want to play it, but for my standard, it will take a long time until that works. Have a nice day :-)

  • @peidaer I know, it's on IMSLP, and I thought about learning it, but when I saw the arpeggiated fifths I totally gave up. Have a nice day you too : )

  • Wow this song is 22 pages long

  • i think he had to attach his fingers back on after this.

  • Great song

  • I can't even imagine what this Richter's interpretation of this piece would sound like!!!

  • Que talento tiene este sujeto. Increible!

  • Omg this sound piano is the same that super mario world in the castle ^^

  • Where can I get just the intro for this song? (0:00 - 0:28)

  • DIE LAWYERS! DIE!

This isn't spam. For those of you who know EWJ.

  • BOWSER!!^^

  • WHAT A GOD!!!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely great.

  • While he does this, there is only him and his piano in the entire galaxy, nothing else. If he thought about his girlfriend in her new skirt his hands couldn't take on that responsibility. Amazing stuff

  • @Twentysixbillion...well i think its pretty good. but wow you must think its really something. i wonder if he would laugh at this comment or feel vindicated

  • @etheangel2220 Can you do that?

  • Complete Mastery of the Piano

  • HOLY CRAP! FACE-MELTER!

Seriously, though! This is amazing and a half!

  • Genious! The man is a genious! I am crying!!! (-=

  • Ooops! Genius! (-=

  • the last part is so sad...

  • wow so creepy sound...but is a masterpiece...love the sound! that makes me want to dance! XD

  • skilled!

  • and you thought through the fire and flames on expert was impossible

  • Soberbio

  • .....& i thought Jools Holland was good on piano! This is my favoutrite classical tune & can't believe how well that dude plays the piano as if it was the whole orchestra!!!! FAB! :o)

  • Sorry, but it's wrong to call a piece that someone slaved over for months a tune.

  • musiks been bangin since the beginning of genres... so fucking evil.... without a reece or an amen, how is it possible!!!

  • -.-

  • @IlyaKhleboyko He doesn't need one with skill like that!!! Pure talent!!

    Peace - Angel

  • @IlyaKhleboyko Yeah because that's really relevant to the purpose of the video, dipshit.

  • God Mode is On
