@universalmm12 lol. the maps got a bit repetetive after a while - there's only so many times you can camp in a corner for 50mins shooting respawning enemies before it gets boring. more maps in DLC would have been nice. or a max payne 3 which doesn't look like it'll be shit
@SoulmateErezIsrael thanks :). i wouldn't say it takes luck to get good times, it's more like you just have to not make mistakes. if you can get to 30 you can get to 50 using the same strategy, you just need to try it a few more times until you get one where you don't cock up. i'm hoping max payne 3 has a dead man walking mode - if it does i shall be posting videos :)

Never use shotgun, use stryker + in/out of BT to run between statue and van near door across from statue.
Square area near start can be deathtrap, use the starting point van.
You got cover at rear and can shoot statute dude to build BT and front is excellent view of everything + BT reload = almost full cover and statue/chokepoint view/shooting.
Grenade from front of van into group = ++BT and dark yellow if you are hurting for BT.

(and im not lying) i got like 71 mins or somethin for this map lol.. and all i remember is that it was laggin.. like crazy and the ground was just all guns and when i finally died and saw 59:99:99 i was like 'omg wth?!' i also remember throwing a grenade which made literally 20 suits go flying, reminding me of that scene in the 2nd matrix movie =)
manor yard was the easiest though (coz of it's linear map design); none of my other times were even close..
nicely done....btw i dont agree that all the other weapons are rubbish compared to m4...i rather kalashnikov 10 times then m4 =/ also mp5 is very good too
regarding the weapons, the kalashnikov takes one extra shot that the M4 to kill an enemy, and it's also not as accurate. the MP5 is accurate, but not as powerful and ammo is more scarce. the M4 is acurate, powerful, and there's usually enough enemies armed with it that leave ammo behind when they die, so that you tend to have enough ammo to always use it. that's my reasoning anyway, if you prefer other weapons then that's your preference i suppose
nice one if you can get 99:99:99, but sorry if i dont believe you, as im pretty sure it resets to 59:99:99 in the records screen so you cant possibly get 99:99:99. also i dont understand what you mean by your second sentence
I can get any time, but i dont want to wait so long. There is a little funny trick - when you change a weapon and jump at the exact time you get a superjump. you can jump on the roof and stay there as long as you want :) its kinda cheating, but i love that.
In current map you can jump on the lantern, than to the balcony, roof, wall, and you are on second floor where Max and Mona are at the beginning of a III: Chapter 7
I found a decent tactic that works well for me, although after 3 tries I've only broke 15 mins once. Wait till the enemies spawn at a considerably fast rate and go into bullet time and the enemies spawn so fast you can stay in bullet time for an infinite amount of time and it's nearly impossible to get hit. Sometimes the shotgun's hit me because they have a decent side spread, but the riflemen are easy to avoid. I'll upload a video if i beat your time :)
yeah, just keep bullet time on and dodge about a lot. your health slowly regenerates when youre almost dead, so if you dont get hit very often then you could keep going forever even after you run out of painkillers. when i got 53 mins, the only reason i stopped is because i had to go have dinner.
when i made this video i hadnt played MP2 in ages, which is why i only got 10mins or so. i use a good laser mouse (logitech, dunno what model) which helps accuracy a lot.
What am i doing wrong? I thought I was good for breaking 8 minutes but i suck apparently. How long did it take you to acheive these kinds of times? An hour? I'm pretty sure I have enough skill but I always seem to run out of ammunition and then i usually have to rush into a group of guys to get some, like you just did, but i usually die. Then, cuz they all respawn almost at the same time and i have bullets coming from everywhere!
basically there are different tactics for each map. on manor yard, the first thing i do is run forward and kill the first guy, and grab the AK-47s and painkillers next to the van and explosive barrels. then run back to the hiding place behind the wall and stay there until you have run out of ammo (if you run out of painkillers, shoot the barrel next to the other box and the painkillers usually get blasted to somewhere near the hiding place). when you run out of ammo run forward................
....and run around over all the ammo, picking off any enemies you see at the same time. make sure you have slow-mo on the whole time. when youve got ammo, return to the hiding place. to get really long times you basically have to repeat "the ammo run" as necessary.
i dont use a controller. the mouse and keyboard seem to work best. also, it does take a bit of practice. i was competing for records with my friend, so that encouraged me to get good scores
32 minutes is very good for a first try. i remember how pleased i was when i reached 13 mins. these days when i play i usually get between 15 and 30 mins
43 mins - nice one! my computer begins to slow down trying to do antialising on all the guns which are lying on the ground after 30 mins or so, so i dont think i can be bothered attempting to beat 52 mins

(Stupid limit)

Couple of other tips:
Turn off post processing.
BT reload to get 360 view when things heat up.
Use Molotovs for fun, save grenades for large groups at choke point.
Never use BT combos. Ever.
Kill 1st dude, grab AK's/PK's/Grenades in center. Stay there until the 1st statue dude, then retreat setting off barrels (all).
Barrel near statue throws PK to far left of starting point.
shoot statue dude from starting point while not in BT (dark yellow is good!)
Choke point = weapon drops = safer!

Date on that screenshot was 7/11/08... before I got into school, so I had time on my hands.
Funny, I'd jumped, and the screen locked because drives were spinning up (='s deadman) so I hit print screen.
Trick is PK mgmt: stay in the main area until you use 3, grab the last 3 far left corner and leave.
Kill the dudes at choke point and retreat/recharge@start pt. Repeat.
Erratic movement helps..if moving left and you see a muzzle flash, move a smidge right, or hide, or reload to duck.

No kidding, the lag was annoying in the 100+ min range, but it was almost like free bullet time...just a bit annoying.
M4: headshots/get out of jams/attack/some spamming.
AK: Long range spam, retreat.
Stryker: Spam/Weapons collection runs/close kills. (long range possible against groups: cover/lots of bullet time recommended.
Cocktails: fun and fire. Use soon.
Grenades: save for emergencies. (refresh/engine issue where kills note = normal BT amounts?)
