  • I saw a picture of her little girl so beautiful! She is definitely gifted and mistreated for being smart and they need to move to CT or another state where education is important.

  • please, it is because she is of African American descendent and successfully smart. We biracials have ALWAYS been a threat to lily white racial supremacist. As for the resto fo society who is not racist need to get their act together and figure out what to do next.

  • Why is she not in school? I missed that part.

  • Wow, what a raging bitch.

  • This is so dumb. How did the teacher think her

allergies were from the girl's hair product. Inste

ad of making the child feel embaressed and

upset in front of her peers. She should have

called the parents. They should sue the school

    and investigate more into this.

  • That is why when you are a parent of school age children it is very important to attend parent teacher meetings and keep involved with things happening in your school. Teachers need to know who you are and your expectations from them when teaching your child. I doubt this would have happened if the teacher knew the parents.

  • The teacher isn't racist, she's just ignorant to what she doesn't understand. Once her allergies kicked in, she pointed to the first thing she had doubts about. -- Black hair. We all know a lot of people in this country don't like change and are afraid of it. This is only an example of what's been going on, and what will continue for several years. We just have to become better people.

But the president is black and Oprah is rich, so we have nothing to complain about, right? Smh...

  • Was the black dude the child's father?

  • @IHS7 duh

  • @shyshybaby08 Well, How come they aint let the brotha speak?

  • You know what? The school should be fined and the teacher fired. The child is not responsible for the teacher's allergy. The teacher should get some type of medication to deal with her issues. This child is in an advanced class. The only black child in the class. She's been in the class for a year and now there is an allergy? Sounds suspicious to me.

  • I think they should douse the teacher in the hair product! Check to make sure beyond a shadow of a doubt if she really is allergic! If not, toss a match and light her on fire for lying! If so, whoops! Nah, JK! They should definitely write her up and send her to some racial tolerance classes as well as learning how to deal with parents effectively. What a dumb ass?!

  • I'm assuming there is only one honor class in that particular subject in that school?

  • Typical....... Very Typical. How many times have I seen similar stories and will see similar stories like this one.

Like I always say. With no real justice there will be no real peace. It's doomed to happen again and again because to many people are in a rush to sweep it under the carpet rather then deal with the problem.

  • How did this teacher figure it was the girl's hair product she was allergic to? This whole story seems fishy to me...but if you ask me, the parents should just sue the school.

I 'm surprised the school administration would agree to move the student without notifying the parents.

  • Damn, the teacher placed her career on the line with a stupid action. Removing the kid from honors class to a regular class, without telling the parents? I can see white parents or any other race getting upset over this.Regardless of race, you're dealing with someone's kid - emotions will run high.

Why didn't she send a note/call the parents immediately? Perfume allergies/MCS are tricky & can be painful for sufferers because most of the products used by the public have fragrances & chemicals.

  • She should be fired.

  • That teacher should be fired.

  • I agree, teachers always handle situations wrong. Just as the Teacher in Canada cut off an Indian boys hair because she thought it was too long. All she had to do was call the parents, have a meeting, and ask if they could use another product in the girls hair. It is that simple. Removing her from the honors class was completely uncalled for.

  • Why couldn't the teacher simply speak with the mother 1st? Heck it could have been an allergic reaction to the bath soap, fabric softner, etc. I've never heard of black children claiming to be allergic to white hairsprays, mousses, and etc. I call BS. No one was allergic to anything the racist teacher wanted her out.
