  • Garth Ennis is arguably the best writer to come out of Ireland. He was born into the The Troubles of Northern Ireland in the 1970s and if he comes across a laid back, its probably because he keeps himself under wraps. He expresses his true feelings in his stories and even then, he's careful. For example he regularly trashes the IRA, but never mentions a word about the UDA, UVF or UDR. He is eloquent enough to make me read the history of Northern Ireland in order to understand him fully.

  • I love how light his accent is. It's nice to know that not every Irish man has to sound like Lucky.

  • Great writer. Great accent.

  • The man's a genius!

  • I love the guy, but who knew he was this dull in real life?

A lot of it is the interview setting, I'm sure, but after reading a book where superman's jizz shoots down a plane, you tend to create a certain image of the author in your head.

  • he aint dull he's just an ordinary bloke, better than somespiky haired looking alternative cunt

  • i dont know about spiky hair but i would have imagined him chain smoking with a wild look in his eyes and maybe a bottle of jameson in his hands or something.

  • More two-fisted goodness from Garth Ennis.
