@tikiedit Thanks for the kind words about the performance. I was trying to make it creepy and funny at the same time. The director loved it at the audition. I guess that is why I got the part. I wish you were a casting director out here in LA. I could use some more work!
I said this whole thing in a bar to a complete stranger just for kicks (sitting up at the bar) just to get a reaction, and it was hilarious! The staff knows me as a regular at this bar, and they knew i was just having a bit of fun at this new comers expense, it was priceless..... "bc they're staying in the shadows.. covert like". It was hard keeping a straight face while I was saying the whole thing.
You are welcome. It is my favorite scene in SIGNS also. Even people who were not crazy about the movie liked that scene. I have a special reason for liking it. I'm the actor who played the Army Recruiter. I was living in New York when I booked it. 3 months after it came out I got an invitation to Hollywood. Been here ever since. Nice place to work, and nice weather!
what the hell was he even doing at that office lol

@JaysCyYoung1 No he was not one of the aliens. Just an Army Recruiter who has it figured out.

What a great scene. Very Kubrick or Lynch like in nature. Cheers Ted for a brilliant performance of an intriguing character.

@tommytomted44 Your character gives the antagonists a more realistic dimension by adding modern military concepts.
Adding the military aspect increases the validity of the plot. Your delivery of the dialogue was really clear, and believable.
I wish you did more intense roles with long shots like this one.

@TheBlitz1 So do I. Come to Hollywood. Become a Casting Director. I'll come to all your auditions.
