Wow, I never thought about it this way. Until I had a school event with students getting their hair shaven and that actually made me think that I would love to do this for someone other than myself. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
Oh wow, this is so great of you! My brother is biking to Seattle (From British Columbia) to raise money for cancer, as one of his friends died from cancer in grade 12. Thank you so much for doing this, I have raised 2.5k for cancer so far. I am hoping to raise a lot more and donate to the Children's Hospital.
My mom died of Ovarian cancer last year when I was 12. I'm shaving my head when I am 16-19 for her. I don't want to do it now because I don't know if I want to deal with all the judgement and all that right now... I'm definitely doing it though!
Having lost a friend when she was 9 to cancer of the nervous system and another friend when he was 10 to a cancerous brain tumor what you are doing means alot to me....thanks sooo much for caring about the research of finding the cure for cancer and for being brave enough to shave your head to make such a great statement :) ;)
@knscontortion1026 Im glad that I touched you. Just so you know I raised over $2,000 for research so we are just that much closer to finding a cure. Keep being strong <3
Baldness is good but the money for research won't make a difference, the fact is is that supplements are available to treat to it but the FDA refuses to allow it to hit the shelves. Something simple like Apricot apple seeds can lower the cancer ratio.
This is a wonderful thing for you to do :] i donated my hair when i was 10...i think....I want to donate again, but my hair is sooo short. i have a pixie cut, so i dont think i could ever grow it out. but yes, my point it, your being a wornderful person by defying the social standards of apperence to make a great cause :]
