Hah -- I'm Bård Edlund, the creator of the Dow Piano. This was really fun to see! Good call to make it play so fast, it becomes a whole other musical expression. Congratulations on a good-looking game, too.

@MrSimongoodchild My project, The Dow Piano, was actually a more handmade thing, whereas what you're seeing in this video (which I have no involvement in) was made programmatically. So TheMetriculator may have wiser thoughts on your question -- but I have definitely thought about it, and see no reason why it couldn't be done, provided you had unlimited access to live data. I actually have some ideas for how I'd design an interface around it, etc. But it would take resources I don't have.
