Hey there my friend, So you'd say I could use it to wach movies, in a totally dark room, up to about 50 inches? or it would be useless for this? since i refuse to pay 500 bucks for a home theatre projector, and i can ge tthis one for 120 bucks.
You can get away with 120", but the colors would be very dark, and you'd need total darkness.
The MPro120 has better color, and can handle the task better, but if 110's are still available, it's not a bad investment. Color will not be as good as the 120, and the battery only goes for 1 hour, versus 2.5 with the 120.
I actually did, albeit it wasn't very wide (small quarters), but I did have a full sized 80" image showing, and about 160" on a door, attempting to show the dot pattern.
I wouldn't go past 80", unless you don't mind darker colors fading away.
I'm gettin' it for my birthday ! Found one for 179€ ($243). I think I found a great deal considering it's around 300-350€ ($400 - 478) on other stores.
When I see it at $199 in the US it makes me wanna move there !! But in Europe everything is expensive....
I've seen the MPro210 in videos, but nobody's actually seen it, or found it to be available. It's the same thing, except it has a built-in speaker, but then again, except for portability, you'd want your own speakers.
Yes, you can. Of course, you'll need your own sound system for audio. The 210 model has sound, but for movies, still better off with a separate system. You can do a 60-80" image easy. Pitch dark room, it looks very good. You can get away with some light at 60".
Hey thanks a lot for the info. I meant to ask, like say if I've downloaded a blu-ray print or 720p or something, would this projector be able to efficiently reproduce the quality, sharpness and clarity?
No, it won't. It's 640x480 resolution, although it can handle a weird resolution like 1154x700,800,900-something? Anyway, it'll be scaled down if you did.
how do you adjust the projector since there is no legs are adjustments at the buttom of the projector?????????? Or do you have to hold it in your hands to cast image?
You can buy a tripod. Rumor mill has it the original lucky first shipments had one included. Not so now.
There is no image adjustability. I brought that up the 3M, as well as the PC can recognize it, so if it can talk to the computer, why not make software to adjust the image?
A recording? I'm not following. I call the building both, and it's funny how many people my age (Gen X'ers) never knew it was the high school. When it was condemned, the firefighters took the carter nameplate off the front entry.
thats SWEET! hey, can you use that as you're recording? try it out and let me know! oh wow. carter junior high! or the old high school. which ever you prefer(is that spelt right?) oh and i think fickle is a funny word! so is shrub!
It works just like any other display device. It depends on whatever it's hooked up to, such as a video camera, which usually does have the ability to record and output simultaneously.
nice review, I bought one before watching your video, i hope it's good because i'm going to use it to project about 60'' movie and enjoy, i think it's better than my homemade projector anyway, you can see it in my video. hope this can satisfy me...
Second, the room needs to be (almost) totally dark to view it. Some light, say, barely enough to read slightly larger than normal newsprint, won't hurt too much. The darker, the better.
Thanks for the review. I am looking for something for backyard use and your review is the first that showed real life real video. This thing has had some bad reviews, it looks good to me, I think the company would do better to show realistic use. Thanks and good luck.
It doesn't really do all that badly, although the referigerator wasn't the best surface to use (too reflective, ergo, weaker image), but at least you got to see it on other surfaces that do show off it's ability. If you're planning to use it for after-dark outdoors, that'll do good, but going about 80-100 inches is pressing your luck a little. Thnaks for the complements!
If you're talking about a big display (behind the band, or something to an effect like that), the best thing is to buy a full-blown projector, which are anywhere from $400 to $2,500. The MPro110 is only good for smaller or medium presentations in low to moderate light.
So lets say one was to hypothetically hook an xbox 360 up to such a device. Any idea how the quality would be?

@MrFatt4759
In SD, will be as good, or better, than a regular TV. Color will be a little weak, and purplish, but okay.
Better, strong color comes with the 120 or 150 version. Again, will look just fine.

how does it work with gaming consoles?? what kind of connectors does it use?
trufiend138 1 year ago
@trufiend138
It comes with a special Composite A/V cable, with barrel connectors to work with any composite output device.
I THINK they only make the MPro120 and 150 now, which is a step up in brightness, color, and has audio. The 150 model has a little extra brightness.

Prices dropped quite a bit. Might have something to do with the MPro120 (I kept calling it MPro210).

can i play ps3 slim with this fucking device?
ANGELUISANGEL 2 years ago
You can, but not in HD. What appears fine on a regular TV, will appear as good, if not a little better, here.

i might get one of these for movies an things 189.99 on amazon now

Price drop. In most cases, the image will look better than in this demo, since the apartment is actually brighter than most homes are.

I've seen it once. It's just like this projector, but it has sound.
Probably not well-known yet, or a prototype. Don't remember how I came accross it.

If you get the MPro210, yes. The MPro110, none.

georgef551 2 years ago
Okay, I didn't understand what he was conveying.
Yes, you can do that, CodyL211. Since the projector has no sound, there's no annoying feedback (audio-wise).
georgef551 2 years ago
it say it will do 50" but will it do 60?
tcv4 2 years ago
I've gone as high as 120 inches, pitch dark room. It's a little dim, but it works.
On mine, if the focus knob is set all the way back, it can do 60 inches to infinity, but after 120, it's pointless.
