  • Just such a great blend of musical style......German Mexican? Who would of thought....

  • These guys were really the most ass kickin´ band in the world. there will never anything better than these 4 elderly, beer-bellied guys

  • @lordsinclair1975 The Texas Tornados are still playing, and touring! Freddy and Doug are gone , but Augie,Flaco, Louie Ortega, Speedy Sparks, Ernie Durawa are still with the group. Throw in Nunie Rubio and Louie Mendez , and the Texas Tornados are alive and well!

  • @Abstractstv I know..... also Shwan Sahm is keeping his father´s musical legacy alive. but the "real" tornados, there must be Doug, Freddy and Oscar. They were a dream team, just like Waylon and the Moon-Man....some things are like shit... you can not touch them......

  • makes me happy thanks guys

  • saw them exactly 19 years ago at the same place

  • heard this song from charley pride version.. this one great too..

  • I wish I could have given Sir Doug a ride! Rest in peace, the good always die way too soon!!!

  • All of the Texas Tornadoes are great but Flaco is the best in the Universe

  • Augie and Falcito are the Gods of their instruments

  • Very nice, but good guitar solo is missing in this version...:-(, Instead accordion is well presented here and improves the quality of the song. Any way all stars!

  • Hittzzzzzz God damnit!!!!!

  • Gonna Jam this song when I drive to San Antonio....YAY!!!!

  • I learned how to play this '68, taking guitar lessons in Dallas. I was 12

  • @mvarahadas: for me, Augie is the man to blame why I learnt to play the piano, in addition to guitar and pedal steel ;-)... And I rehearsed this solo 1000 times, but I will never sound like Augie.

  • Bravo Flaco!

  • @MrFitolopez I am from New York State but I can't resist the appeal of this song' especially FJ.

  • Just saw them live.

    This was their opener.

They may be without Freddy and Doug, but they still kick ass!

  • Where were they bro? Was Flaco there though?

  • I brought this home (the original album) when it first came out. So many years later, this take has so much life.

Viva Doug, Freddy, Flaco, Augie and the Texas Tornados!

  • Live is great, but It could use the addition of pedal steel guitar the original had.1974.I wore out the LP

  • @davequ -I bought it at issue and years later found some for 50 cents for the whole LP! I got two more cuz I wore out the original, before CD times. They had a great steel player, dobro, piano along with the guys on this who of course were the core.

  • This made my day!

  • Godspeed Doug and Freddy.

  • This is a a very cool version of this song. Thanks

  • Doug,Auggie,Flaco,THA Halapenio, GOD BLESS YOU ALL. I still think back on those nights on tha tour bus on Kostores st. down in corpus town.Outside tha lonesome coyote Saloon! those wer tha days!!!!!!!!!!!!!
