i don't think weighting urself every day is a good idea actually it's a very bad one :) usually progress won't show in a day or two, but it's good checking ur weight once a week or so.. :) i'm still not in the gym and i didn't started my weight watchers point counting, but i'm motivated again and will start very soon. hey janice! i sooo understand how this week was a struggle. this was a bad week for me also. i actually gained 2.2lbs :( but, i should take your advice and not worry about the numbers as much. with my body, i tend to have very bad fluctuations and i don't know why. is it because of what i'm eating or is it just me? i'm not a crazy junk food eater either. anyway, i'm very proud of you and everyone stepping up to this challenge. through time, hopefully we'll all have positive results :)
Its really tough to keep going through the ups and downs, but what I've learned from my previous loss is that what matters is not numbers week to week its the pounds that go for the long haul. Keep doing what you are doing because you are working on bettering your lifestyle and fitness. In the end the kind of lifestyle you are working at right now is going to pay off. <- I need to take my own advice too. Girly thanks for this updates this helps me a lot...Well let me start by saying i am glad that i dont get my period because of my birth control i have the IUD and it is great for me no period no cramps luv it!! Well i have to say i think i am going to cheat lol I am going to get my tummy tuck on tuesday so scared but it needs to get done to remove all the streach marks. Well that means you need to do more videos lol because i will be in bed a lot hope to see more of your videos thanks ....<3
hey janice! keep going, you are doing great! a bunch of my friends are also doing a weight loss challenge as well. We just finished a hike here in hawaii, (koko head trail, 1,058 steps!) but yes! keep doing what you're doing! you got this!
If you're restricting calories and you have a cheat day, you're really screwing yourself over. First, you shouldn't be restricting your body into starvation mode because then your body will be trippin and store fat if you eat it.
You're right about the numbers though, they really aren't as important as people make them out to be. I know I fluctuate a good 3-5 lbs. because of food and water. Trippin on a pound isn't helpful.
I hope you and everyone doing this challenge keep at it though.
@yadidameng i dont think that you are necessarily screwing yourself over..if you do give yourself these "cheat days" or little cheat bites/snacks in my examples in the video..then i think thats healthier in the long run. i never promoted starvation and then eating whatever you want..i promote a healthy diet where you dont restrict ALL your favorite foods otherwise you will keep craving and then over indulge.
And i wasn't trippin' on a pound...im just letting you guys know the real truth..
@SOMETHINGaboutJANICE I was about to elaborate more but I saw that I ran out of characters in my last post. I do agree, you should eat the things that you like in moderation. A few cookies or an ice cream, or like you mentioned, a doughnut, isn't going to ruin all of your hard work. I just think that a lot of people may go overboard if they designate a "cheat day". A little something daily is probably better than a day to go crazy (I've seen people do that).
Instead of quitting soda cold turkey I've been trying to only have one glass a day. I also don't drink it while eating lunch/dinner, I notice I drink almost twice as much. And if I just have my glass with a snack or during the day sometimes I don't even finish it. :)
@howardl0vr that definitely sounds like a good idea! :) yeah i notice that i do drink more soda (although i always drink diet) while im eating lunch/dinner! i have been cutting down though since ive been drinking lots more water! :)
