be strong my brothers and sisters, we will take our country back..................remeber the ghost dancers and what the dance meant to our people go back to the old ways and remedy the old hatreds amoung our people for we have all suffered and still suffer under the boot of the foreign occupying government
To merely live on the Rez isn't enough, you have to be born there to understand. I was born on one, NorthernCheyenne, from Montana, my reservation looks eerily simular to the town depicted in the movie. Trash, stray dogs, stray horses, stray children. Life on the rez is poor. But its will always be my true home.
Idk about the song but the movie is called Thunderheart starring Val kilmer and Graham Greene. Also this song has nothing to do with the movie.Although the movie has a cool soundtrack too
Aho NCEF. Nkaahna Gnaa ndi Dakota Nichikenh. One earth, one mother, one creator, we are all connected, "Theres a way to live with earth, and a way not to live with earth. We choose the way of earth."
in the spirit of crazy horse was a excellent read and really changed my opinion on alot of the way the native people in this country have been treated
It's the same for us over in Australia my brothers. I have seen "Thunderheart" and our communities look exactly the same. Continue the fight, that's all we can do. God bless
..when I heard what happened on the Longest Walk now, I think nothing has changed... it´s a shame...and Leonard Peltier: since years amnesty international demands the resumption of the institute legal proceedings. Never they found a real proof that he is guilty.
Not sure if he killed those agents or not. But he was in connection with the people who did and was involved in the incident. I'm not saying he should be charged with murder, but as an accessory. He's a criminal and belongs in prison.
You are talking as if you know what happened, yet you seem very confused about it. I think you nead to get your information right before you speak out!
My other comment is in reference to the Native American Life style in the present day. All I know is that Leonard was involed in a shoot out with Federal Agents. Pretty sure thats a crime. He stated himself that he shot at the agents. If he is so innocent then why did he run? Face it, he is a criminal, and he belongs in prison.
a criminal is the guy who takes your tv. A hero is the guy who steps in and saves lives. Leonard is only guilty of being a hero, for stepping in when others feared. i'm sure he would do it again.
Sometimes they have to kill us,
they have to kill us..cause they can't break our spirit..!!
Yep! Thunderheart tells it like my Dad told of the Rez..Yep!!
Then you might really know what it's like...

There's good people and there's bad people. They are within every group.
Divide and rule.
And there's racists.
They are just plain stupid. Still are. Ignorance is bliss?
