  • The Saturday Night Live skit about this is suddenly relevant and funny now that I'be seen this clip.

  • Lol was that a staged thing? Omg. Lol too much.

  • wow awkward

  • The anchor wanted to see her without the bathrobe!!!!!!!!

  • LOL that fat 4 eyed fuck got owned!! It looks like he has magnifiers for lenses!!LoL!!

  • "U were once, but are no longer" "How did dat happen"... One word... Dayum!!!

  • Tha anchor clearly crossed the line and should have been fired for that remark. He started first demeaning the reporter on air with "if I have to teach you how to be a reporter..." That is insulting and I don't blame the reporter for firing back at him.

  • @gigie555 shut up tool! DAT WUZ BAD!! BOO HOO! FUCK HEAD

  • Jim Ryan is a jerk.Very sarcastic.

  • OK, I have to explain this. This happened on a morning show called "Good Day NY." GDNY is a morning program with a very laid back format where everyone in the studio is allowed to be "loose" and informal on camera. This is one of those moments when the format backfired. Jim Ryan wasn't being unprofessional; he was just following the format where people in the studio could banter back and forth with people out on the field. PT 1

  • This format usually makes for a nice, laid back show, but it didn't work this time because the two men probably had a history of bad blood between them and it just came out.

  • If the reporter HAD talked to the lady again, would the elevator guy get to respond to her response to his response to her complaints? Doesn't that white-haired bastahd understand the dangers of an infinite loop?!

  • these 2 are always beefing

  • @lvl9001Troll Ooooooo, internet tuff guy! What's wrong, did a Marine fuck your girlfriend?

  • @GalacticMarine2012

I fooled around with an air force member's girlfriend...

    Those were the days..

  • rude reporter

    i support the anchor

  • If I would have watched that on tv in the morning while I was stoned, I would have thaught I was going nuts. O_o

  • @GalacticMarine2012 thankfully you dont smoke pot or own a tv faggot

  • "You were, and are no longer. How'd that happen?" OOOOHHH, major bitch-slap!

  • I don't know what's funnier, this or the SNL skits of this

  • what a dick

  • Professionalism: Being FAKE, for the most part.

  • Both men should have been fired on the spot.

  • I love how she stands in the background laughing. XD

  • This had to have have inspired Bill Hader's Herb Welch character on SNL

  • reporter fingers the camera @ 1:13

  • why is she in a robe during the interview?

  • Is this Noodles from The Offspring some time in the future? ;D

  • The anchor is an asshole

  • @YTfancol Agreed, the anchor was totally unprofessional and let his personal animosity towards the reporter embarrass the both of them. I wonder what was said at the meeting that night.

  • SNL sketch :D :D :D

  • @MoheyMojito "So mhrytrnm".."No, herb, you gotta ask them a question..."

  • Iwd say the reporter had him by a bit cause he said u were my bich at one point

  • Why is something like that live anyway?

  • i bet the brother hit on the girl in the robe

  • must've been a slow day because an elevator problem story? really? wow.

i dunno bout you, but those two old chaps SAVED this story.

  • That reporter was terrible. From the looks of his age, he should have retired long before this live shot. But on the other hand, the anchor didn't have to be a dick like that! I work in the biz and I've never seen an on-air spat, that was pretty bad.

  • "...Is the lady still there?" (When obviously she wasn't.)

"Is there any question you want me to ask her?"

Seems the reporter at the desk wasn't satisfied w/ how it ended...."If I have to teach you how to be a reporter Allie I'll do that later." Which comes off as pretty arrogant. ...He should have just reiterated "Ask if she has any response."

  • i want 2 see those two old honkies box it out!!!

  • well actually i think the anchor was right...the story wasnt finished, there was rebuttal required and the reporter is supposed to get to the bottom of it.

  • Jim Ryan (Anchor) was forced into retirement a short while later

  • @biketronic Cool, & I hope the reporter got the choice of HIS job if he wanted. Was NO excuse for Anchor-A## to start throwing insults ... and he WAS the one who started.

In 13+ years service, I had a rare experience of being not only a Private, but later also his Platoon Sgt. The "rare" part is I was ALSO that PSG's Platoon Leader, a 1LT, a couple years later. I knew well the delicacies of interaction between different layers of a job. You NEVER take a disagreement like that public ... EVER.

  • @offamychain At times, when someone isn't doing their job right, they can be made an example of in public. People are not hired to do a job wrong. The anchor you see calmly told the reporter to get the woman back to say something. The reporter did what he wanted to do and did what he see fit. When the anchor asks a reporter to get further rebuttal, he should do what he's told when he's in the wrong. He shouldn't be asking the anchor what questions to ask. Why is he hired then if he doesn't know?

  • @zapikachu You don't have a clue what you're talking about. The reporter did their job the anchor should have just shut up, let the reporter to their job, and know their role of continuing their job. Nobody cares what the anchor wants on their opinions.

  • @DishingThePain Apparently you can't read nor have you ever had a job or hired someone. When a reporter is doing their job, they should know what to do so the anchor doesn't have to tell the reporter to get a further rebuttal. You're just an angry person who has a problem with authority and doesn't like being told what to do. If you work somewhere and do a job right where no one has to ask you to do something further, then you did it right. This reporter did it wrong. Simple as that.

  • @DishingThePain Actually, the woman was still talking, he (the reporter) shut her up... and that's just stupid, to go there, ask her opinion, the manager's and that's it... she soesn't get to rebute? Doesn't get a chance to coment on what he said?

  • @zapikachu I think the reporter should have asked a few more questions. BUT that doesn't make the anchor right in doing that. An old adage says: "You should allways praise in public and criticise in private". This, for example, would be better off being left for discussion in a meeting, never on live tv.

  • dayum i feel sorry for the reporter, poor guy

  • lol @ the lady in the robe crackin up in the back

  • Herb Welch lol

  • lol did anyone hear that "she lives on the first floor" lol busy body! And she's the one complaining!

  • LOOOOL

  • THAT ANCHOR WAS A CHILDISH BRAT WHO NEEDS HIS BALLS CRAMMED DOWN HIS THROAT. NOT SMART DUDE. JUST CHILDISH.

  • Lessons on how to be a reporter? The anchor was the one who wanted to know the rest of the information. The reporter wanted to know what else the anchor wanted to know. The reporter was obviously done with his report, satisfying the viewers, because obviously this isn't an important story. I give this one to the reporter. The anchor is salty because his dick is small.

  • @gixzo anchor got an azian sized dick dats for sure

  • hahha if I was the lady in the gown or the contractor I would be like daaaaaamn he said were haha were

  • This is the point where you want to question you news source...

  • The whole thing was very sad. The anchor should not have layed him out like that on live TV. He should have been disciplined by the station.

  • little bitches

  • The anchor initiated it on air.He should've came back to the station and punched him for intentionally humiliating him on air.

  • That anchor is a racist fuck!

  • @srtor how the fuck is he racist?

  • alright, this has been bugging me. this was the motivation for the snl skit right???? /watch?v=qOieF0R4XaU ...thumbs up so I can finally get an answer to this mofo!

  • no need to quote we have ears you know lol

  • i feel sorry for that Colonel Sanders look a like dude.. editor guy was being so mean to him :(

  • Awesome!

  • "Right... So what do you want now?"...

THAT'S why you were Jim's boss once, and are no longer.

  • It waass a crappy report.

  • PAR.

  • fucking annoying shit all over the video i could have done without

  • CLASSIC!

  • LOL that's awesome the newsanchor was so staking his revenge to his ex-boss. he really dick slapped him in that one, wow! what a dick lol but who knows maybe his ex-boss was a dick to him!

  • Wow Fox 5 NY news has had lots of crazy things right here on youtube!! Glad to be a new yorker to witness the ignorance, humor, and unprofessionalism in our live newscasts. Keep f-ing that chicken, what the F*ck are you doing, soccer interview gone wrong, soy Jizzism, and now this lmao!

  • I can't see through METAL Kent!

  • @vicepresidentfru1tly Thumbs up for 'Simpsons' reference.

  • @unfortunatebeam hater

  • HA HO!!!

  • @josephjohnsononline LMAO LMAO LMAO!!

  • @josephjohnsononline More like he went back to sitting around scratching his ass and not fixing the elevator...the guy couldn't have looked less interested in the whole thing.

A good spokesman for the company? me thinks not.

  • lmaO..

  • @JaneWonderfallss wauw? Seriously? Advice has to be given under 4 eyes for it to be advice otherwise it's just shit-spewing.

  • Classic Good Day NY, Jim Ryan and I think its Dick Oliver(field reporter)

  • That very perfectly beautiful young lady was clearly not happy with the land lords response. She was standing up for her nieghbors because the elevator was not working for for the past how many days. I'm glad they made her smile at the end

  • Right. Whaddya want now? xD

  • he should have responded "well that may be because i boned your wife, just saying."

  • Personal shit spewing over into the workplace ... Funny though :)

  • @JaneWonderfallss You don't xhew out on the air make an ass of your whole team though....

  • This guy Jim sounds like an unprofessional prik...should be fired...

  • both reporter and anchor were very unprofessional - but it was awesome for everyone else.

  • What a dick, fuck the guy on the left.

  • love it

  • Well, that was professional.

  • Is this video the inspiration for that SNL skit between Sudeikis and Hader?

  • It is enjoyable to see the tables turned once in a while; to see two old white guys being shit-ass towards each other when it really counts for them to be cooperative...gaDAYyum...

  • The anchor should have been fired for that... She already expressed her opinion very clearly, then the landlord expressed his opinion.. Nothing else to say. I'da fired that old, grey haired bastard for saying that over the air..

  • @therv5000 WHICH old gray haired bassturd?!? BWAAhaha

  • I can't believe that women appeared on the news in her robe!

  • i felt bad for reporter...anchor is bad

  • Bingo showdown, in the rec center. It's the only way to solve this. Ovaltine will be served, straws provided.

  • THE ONE THAT STARTED IT WAS MORON! HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE SAID TO GIVE LESSONS; THE OLD TIMER PROBABLY HAS MORE BALLS AS A MAN THAN THAT PANTY WAIST WHOM REPLACED HIM!

PUSSIFIED MALE, MOST LIKELY AN OPRAH FOLLOWER.

  • SNL just did this last week with Jesse Eisenberg and Bill Hader

  • Well, I heard they're both dead, so R.I.P. But it doesn't change the fact that the anchor was being a complete tool here.

  • What...the..fuck...?

I expected better from both of these men.

  • whats wrong with using the stairs? lazy shits

  • 48 people think the anchor was an ass

  • The lady in the back is saying " My problems no longer exist; I get to have front row seats to this epic pwnage.:0 "

  • PWNED! This may have already been posted previously, but this reminds me of an SNL skit a couple of months ago when Anne Hathaway was the host and the skit entailed an old fogey field reporter played by Bill Hader and the studio correspondent played by Jason Sudeikis and the two were having an argument on the air. Pretty hilarious!

  • I remember both of thesed NY channel 5 reporters and its soo funny seeing these two old professional gentleman work themselves right out of jobs!lol

  • @WillieRantz so they both lost their jobs after this happened ?

  • i hope the next youtube video i see is the anchor and reporter in a cage match! where are you tosh.o make it happen!

  • the anchor is a douche.

  • If I were the person in charge I would have pulled both into my office then grilled the ever living fuck out of the Anchor for his blatant unprofessionalism before telling him to not let the door hit him on the way out, then I would have congratulated the Reporter for trying to defuse the situation and given him a raise.

  • The Anchor was just an ASS, if he wanted some questions answered then he should have answered the very simple question the reported asked of him "what would you like to know" If he cant give an answer to that then he needs to sit down and shut the fuck up. I think the Reporter handled the attack very professionally but trying to ignore the snarky comment, but when the Anchor kept pressing it was perfectly ok for the Reporter to then defend himself.

  • Guy to the left PWND the right guy

  • The reporters name is Ollie!" Whats new Ollie?" "You suck!" "Thanks Ollie" ..... I gotta stop watching Family Guy.

  • They are both dead now.

    RIP

  • the anchor is wrong on a professionalism level. which is all thats going to matter sitting around the bosses table back at HQ. but he's wrong on the technical level too. he refers to the guy as a spokesman for *the company*. as if hes a spokesman for the elevator company. he aint. hes the landlord and from what i got he was agreeing with the tenant. hes going to hold the elevator company to the deadline they promised and he said work at night wasnt acceptable. fuckin anchor needs to retire. cunt

  • is this what they are spoofing on snl with bill hader

  • Fat bAstard

  • you were now your not how did that happen ! >:P lol

  • 1:41 the starts smiling like 'aww shit'

  • Thought the reporter got both sides of the story. Was the Anchor looking for a debate or something?

  • funny

  • reporter is a fucking douche, so no anchor is not at fault, the fucking reporter is, he didnt even let the tenants finish their say, what kind of fucking professionalism is that? Its as if hes trying to completely ignore the people hes "interviewing", basically he told them to fuck off and that he doesnt

  • @DaCatOnTop Everyone's pressed for time, remember.

  • 1:44 Anchor: Yes, how is he gonna comeback from that one.

    Oh shit, I got owned.

  • The Anchor was in the right, that reporter seemed lost and confused and that woman did deserve a response

  • woahhhhh someone dun lost there job then again there is always fox net work

  • the anchor is an asshole lol

  • Agreed - the "reporter" is rubbish, the anchor was right to spank him on live tv. The "reporter" was not trying to convey news, which imho is the cardinal sin of any "news reporter", whether he's simply the local "town cryer" or broadcasting to the nation or the world. Indeed, nowdays, you never know who your audience is going to be...case in point...I ain't a yank....

  • everyone needs to STFU and gather round my burning pile of blue berry OG kush and enjoy the hotboxing in my room

  • Both people were interviewed. Looked like the anchor was looking for a reason to ridicule the reporter since the reporter was once his boss. Yeah, the woman isn't a spokesperson like the man was, but that's not the reporter's problem. Anchor should've let it go.

  • "...you were, but are no longer - how did that happen?"

    Classic KO put down.

  • @KenfromDublin Shit can happen to everyone of us.What the anchorman is hatefull and wrong.

  • The reporter was clearly phoning in the show and had NO desire whatsoever to do that job. He looked like he was just there to sit back and collect a paycheck until it was time to retire. Jim Ryan was awesome for taking him to the wood shed for it.

  • @thunderstruck665

exactly, what kind of reporting is that, garbage

  • A hot lady in a robe, a black guy and an old guy with a camera crew. Looks like a porn film is about to happen.

  • GRUMPY OLD MEN

  • @riddick7819

Dude she left and the reporter didnt know what the hell was going on! It had nothing to do with the fact shes wearing a robe.

  • Guys.. Guys.. Please stop, both of you are just awful.

  • I think that the reporter was just trying to be a classy gentleman because she was wearing a bathrobe and he didnt want her to be on camera like that, a woman would want to keep her dignity and he would try to respect that, the anchor was a prick because he couldnt see why he didnt want to talk to her in her bathrobe on camera, he was being a nice guy and letting her leave quietly, strange thing is that nobody notices this or picks up on it, if anything he was a good reporter.

  • "I'll give you lessons in how to become a reporter."

"No I'll give you lessons in how to be an editor, because I was your boss once."

"Yeah you were, and are no longer... how'd that happen?"

    OH SNAP!

  • @VastedCouth "Yeah you were, and are no longer... how'd that happen?"

he shut him down with that last slam, that was classic... LOL

  • 5th graders with white hair.

  • @PaulieDeMafia210 Well, they were being childish, but I can't blame the anchor though. I mean.... "what do ya' want now?" LOL, are you kidding me?

It wasn't something he should have said on camera (the anchor), but it doesn't mean that the reporter (apparently new) didn't deserve to be told that. The reporter obviously didn't know how to conduct an interview.

That WAS hilarious though. I've never seen shots go back and forth like that before.

  • That is retarded.

  • Yea, but the reporter is tired and old. He needs a drink. You cant drink and ask a bunch of relevant questions at the same time!

  • What a couple of raging douches, especially the anchor. Them bitter 70's and ED must be taking quite a toll. Real professional.

  • Bill Hader totally did the Reporter a HUGE Favor on SNL the other night.

  • GIRLS!! GIRLS!! Now stop that this instant!!

  • OWNED

  • this was from fox NEW YORK. lmao jim the white haired guy i recall that bastard every morning coming on my tv, but damn he is alpha ownign that guy

  • I AM OFFICIALLY DEAF NOW THANK U SO MUCH FOR THE INTRO AND OUTRO

  • white haired anchor should go back to the mental hospital for more anger therapy instead of ragging on the reporter.. just read the facts, anchor crap, that's your job.

  • AHAHAHAHAHA epicccc...

  • i say thanks to the chic in the vid for putting on her sunday best for the morning news.that's fucking great.lol

  • ...well, how it happend was... that the gay anchor sucked off the network CEO and got the promotion he wanted!!!

  • AND THE ANCHOR WINS THE GAME!!!!!!

  • "How did that happen" does anyone else think there could be a movie about this?

  • hahahahahahahahaha niiiceee

  • It was wrong of the anchor to do that over live television, very unprofessional.

  • @Charizard2point0 He was so blinded by hate towards this guy he just could not help himself. I guess

  • @Charizard2point0 In fairness the guy sucks at reporting

  • @theballer04 They didn't show enough of the footage for you to get a decent look at his reporting skills.

  • @Charizard2point0 Basic mass communications teaches you to ask followup questions, but maybe the reporter thought the story wasn't valuable enough to give a damn

  • @theballer04 Could be, we will never know :)

  • @Charizard2point0 Well, they are both still alive. Maybe a web redemption on Tosh.0?

  • @Charizard2point0 People don't watch news for happiness and people getting along.

  • The anchor is exactly right and the onsite reporter didn't take his first and second hint. He deserved the slam because he hasn't the foggiest clue what he is doing.

Local news is a soap opera and if you don't get the emotional component of a controversy, the audience will tune you out and your ratings go South.

  • that's professional

  • Oh I'm sorry I didn't know that you never heard of Adam Sandler deliver that line, hayseed
