I liked this ending a lot. One of the only times you see the protagonist get a straight up fight against the villain in a slasher film. A really inventive climax.

Now I don't hate parts 5 or 6, and I love New Nightmare (My third favorite of the series after the Original and Dream Warriors) but this would've been a satisfying conclusion to the saga had they chosen to go with it.

Alice was cool, but she didn't have the perfect chemistry that Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) did with Freddy (Robert Englund).No one did, in fact. I loved this ending with the souls coming out of him, though. There were times, especially in Kirstin's last nightmare that Alice looked a bit like Carrie (of the film, "Carrie" - minus the blood). But Nancy is my favorite and the 3 "Nightmare" films Heather is in are my favorites. But I liked "Freddy Vs. Jason" a lot as well. Nancy / Heather kicks ass
