@paperorpaper Lol. In this video I wasn't quite natural yet, and was still transitioning. But I am currently natural now. And thank you so much for the compliment, and I'm sure you will grow to love your hair more and more!
@Penelope416 My mom went natural and she loves it, her hair is healther and stronger and longer. I'm glad to see that black women are starting to go back natural because on thing i hate is a women with 3 or 4 colors in her head that doesn't match!
I'm congratulations, I'm happy for your mom. Truth is natural hair is absolutely beautiful, and truth be told....it always was. It's just becoming a movement now because people are finally starting to research---educate themselves on the history, beauty, and care of our hair.
hahaha i love your BET ramble. i was wondering the same thing: how do you talk white? english is english for goodness sakes! and you are brave doing the big chop. i think all of us wanted to be like the girls on just for me lol. but again, you are not an idiot. you're extremely brave and natural hair is gonna look HOT on you. :] <3
Aw kitty! Yes it's true. Think about the country Ireland. There are southern, northern, wester, and eastern parts of Ireland. The Irish accent in the southern area might be different then in the northern (So you can't be irish)? it's just a thought.
It's true, every little girl wanted to feel and look like a princess.
And thank you so much on the compliment! Love ya! Hope all is well.
I'll be getting my big chop within a couple of days. Saturday actually so I'm gonna get either my brother or mom to catch it on camera. I want that mug "on camera", not another faded memory, cuz I want people to see it so they can be inspired.
I agree with you on the spiritual journey of facing our natural hair. I am learning also, to appreciate who God has made me to be, and not to envy the perm boxes and just for me bottles. But my question is, why do you have to do the big chop? Why can't you just let it grow out? Then you can have the experience of the different things that your hair does as it returns to it's natural state, and have different things to do with your hair in those different stages.
I "want" to do the big chop. I've been dealing with 2 textures in my head for almost 10 months now and I'm just tired of bearing with the animal on top of my head. So that's how long I've been letting it grow out. The hair that's already relaxed won't ever revert back to it's natural state, that' why you have to cut it off. :-)
If you don't want to do the big chop, you can just cut your hair in stages but I'm ready to get it done now with just one hair cut.
Wow! I absolutely LOVE this video! LOVE LOVE LOVE this video!

I loved this Penny... I could type a book right now, but you expressed your view perfectly and it needs no further commentary =)
