  • An absolute Comedy legend.....the laugh track of my childhood... Rip Red

  • Thank you for posting this. Red Skelton was so much a part of my childhood. Comedy today is either too suggestive or down right dirty. Red was good clean family fun, and entertained audiences of ALL ages and both genders.

  • I have been a Red Skelton fan all of my life (52 now). I have nothing but fond memories of this great entertainer, thanks for posting this, it was a sweet stroll down memory lane!

  • Priceless clip, thanks for uploading it!

  • Red was a giant . I was fortunate to see him a few times in my life. They don't come any classier..Thanks for posting this.

  • Dear Robinsnl, The title of that MGM movie musical..where he wore a pink leotard and tutu

    taking dance lessions is"Bathing Beauty".

  • Elvis Was the king of Rock, RED is without a doubt the King Of Comedy, He must be keeping god in stitches now. Some of my fondest memories of my child hood was watching this Comic Genius on TV, No comedian today is good enough to tie the mans shoes far as im concerend

  • inducting him was a no brainer!

  • He was such a natural at telling jokes and a wonderful, genuine person. His legacy lives on.

  • I wish I could find a video of Red on the Oscars pretending there was a short in the microphone. It was such a masterful piece of comedy, that when I was done nearly suffocating from laughter, all I could to was marvel at the fact that a man in his 80's could be so incredibly funny. If you have this video, please share it.

  • Don't worry about the quality. This is gold!

  • Mr. Red Skelton, a television immortal. I remember many a night the family huddled about the tv set Watching KlemKiddlehopper, Freddie the Freeloader, or gertrude and Hecliff (sp?),

Red will be missed, but thankfully we still have the films of his performances to watch and admire his antics.

  • As a kid, in the early 60's, the Red Skelton show was the only show on TV that I would not miss. He was the funniest person I ever saw. We sure miss you Red.

  • Those sure were good days. True, I was born long after that time, but back then was when we had the best type of comedy instead of all of the stupid stuff that passes for comedy today. I dream to one day bring back that kind of comedy with Red Skelton as my inspiration. You'll always be remembered Red. You're truely the best of the best of the best.

  • Thank you so much for the post. I have been a fan of Richard 'Red' Skelton many years and have seen Tom Mullica as a Red impersonator. I may not have seen the original but the carbon copy is just that close. To all who impersonate this wonderful man, May God Bless!

  • Red Skelton was and still is a class act and the funniest men in the World. We need more people like Mr. Skelton in this world. God Bless and keep smiling.

  • We miss you Red... You made all of us better people. God Bless...

  • America's favorite clown! Even my children love him dearly. My mother raised me on his humor and laughter..... Thank you 'RED' the true King of Comedy.

  • god jul

  • god jul

  • WOW..thanks for this post..Red was the best,

there will never be another one like him.

He made me laugh as a kid and now cry as a 52

year old.God truly blessed us all with him.

  • john and red are both to awesome stars that we wont forget..

  • so sweet.

  • He was and is an awesome spirit! We should all strive to be more like Old Red!

  • oh how I remember curling up on the couch to watch the Red Skelton Show..and how it always left my heart with a feeling of genuine contentment..when I think of Red..I think of the words 'class' and 'integrity'..most of today's foul-mouthed "comedians" could tak a lesson in decency from this man..so warmly remembered he is..see you in paradise Red..

  • Red always had good clean family fun and never had to resort to the kind of humor that most comics have to do today in order to get laughs....Red never had to do that..Rest in Peace Red....

  • I adore Red Skelton.

  • man i remember when i was like 8 watching his show. i loved that guy, so many characters, and such a sweet sweet man he is so missed

  • comedy genius r.i.p

  • This was Mr.Skelton's last tv appearance.

  • What was the name of the movie that Red Skelton was in a pink leotard

  • I love Red Skelton's humor and he seems like an absolutely wonderful man. Its a shame that he is not here today to bring his majority of clean-cut humor back into the world of comedy. I wish that there were more people like Red Skelton nowadays, in this increasing corrupt world.

  • Great! Thanks for the clip!

  • I was fortunate to meet him and get his autograph in 1972. He was truly a great man!

  • This was done about 10 months before he passed.

I really wished I would have been able to meet him.

Good-gye for now and may God bless.
