i over killed elijah at the time i had 82 explosive skills put 3 frag mines and 6 to 8 gas bombs down out of the 14 gas bombs i had. serves eljiah right for putting a collar on my guys neck.

hardest thing to do after u have all that dam gold is to walk back to gun runners or any place with alot of money, i mean i am mostly ncr person and every so offen alot of legion assassins come to kill me get annoying after while but they drop good weapons and item i need.

@XilaHeart I recommend having the Long Haul perk. It may be too late for some people but this is definitely the way to go when traveling with the gold bars. You can fast travel straight to the Gun Runners, sell your gold, PROFIT.

Awesome! Had to do it twice though because the first time it knocked me off the platform. Didn't have to kill the turrets, he comes out anyways, (On easy with SM Armor reinforced they hardly do any damage.)

Thanks for your tutorial. I stole all the 37 gold bars and all things from the vault! At this time point (2011/10/13) it still works. I didn't change the difficulty. On normal I used some dose of explosives to let him die: 7 Demolition charges 3 Gas bombs 1 C-4 plastic explosive And...KaBoom! Perfectly killed that asshole. Now I'm just worried about how to sell these gold bars instead. Maybe I can buy some new expensive weapons from Gun Runners' Arsenal DLC.

this worked great, i was in the vault already and had no explosives and didnt take out the turrets beforehand, had to buy demo charges from the chip machine in the vault to blow him up, but you dont have to take out the turrets, he will swap over with you after youve taken one out.. easier if you do though

When I completed this DLC I said to myself "YES I DID IT! I'm not going back again!" But when forgot to save and restart checkpoint after I locked Elijah, I saw that I had to kill him too. And then I was like "DAMN IT!"

You don't need all of the Gold Bars. You would be lucky to even get full caps for selling one of the bars.

I was able to get thru the force field ..but the few gas bombs i laid down didnt kill him. When I try to go to the elevator, it says i cant call it down.

@gargamel55 set it to very easy before he walks down the stairs. You can't use the elevator if he catches you and is still alive.

awesome i was just bout ready to give up on the gold bars when i came across this vid. thanks broski! and also if you saved inside the vault (as i did) before shooting the turrents and laying the traps you can still make it, while in the vault shoot the turrnet generator thats right under the 2nd terminal at the door (as shown at 3:11 in the vid) and as you run to the barrier drop your trap as you run i used 3 gas bombs and they worked for me

Another way is after you talk to him on the computer before the force field is on, plant C4 and wait till the turrets attack. Shoot three turrets, on the third try to run in the door way.
