I liked idea behind the film, and the first 2/3 was good - but it kinda lost it's way with the silly aliens and special effects towards the end...and I love sci-fi. This film would have been better off going in a different direction.

But I totally agree, this scene was REALLY funny! ...but as it wasn't sposed to be I guess it explains why the film didn't totally work in the end.

I jumped out of my seat at the theater when I first saw this scene. It startled the hell out of me. I think the way they portrayed the "aliens" in this movie was perfect because they never outright call them aliens, you only just have to assume that's what they are, and that little bit of uncertainty is far more entertaining. Makes them seem more human, thus more terrifying, instead of space ships, and squishy green alien bodies flopping around the screen for 90 minutes:)
