how long of a leader? and what pound test for the leader and mainline?

@HATINTHEKAT the leader should be one foot longer than the clarity of the water. If you can see 3 ft. into the water, your leader should be 4 ft.
I'm rarely going over 5 ft, except in extreme combat fishing.
Your lead should be clear, for sure.
I use bright green mainline so I can see my line as it travel down river.

It's one of the most highly visible colors under water. So yes. This year, and every year for the most part.
