@Horrormaniacs1 I've been there several times and spoke to the Mattingly's, the count is over 60,000. It was also a home for the elderly that had really bad care. It was closed down by the state quickly due to the abuse and neglect.

Was just there last night 3/12/11 and it was ok. Did the half night and they are having more people on the tour which makes it kind of bad since there are too many people in the building and trying to hear anything is almost impossible. I did get some really good EMF readings though.

@thomikab Yea, but when you go on the tour you can't take pictures of the place from outside as the neighbors have been complaining about the flash photography. I can't understand it since your not facing the houses by the entrance road. Believe me, they even have a couple tour people in the parking lot to make sure you don't go taking flash pictures. I went to a Haunted House once and there was an exhibit claiming to be shipped straight from "Waverly".
It was a few science-lab skeletons and a lab coat with ketchup squirted on it. I SO would've begged for my 6 dollars back if I could, but it was for a good cause, (a charity for the Humane Society, I believe,) so you can't really blame them for trying.
I live in Valley Station ( where Waverly is located ) and the owner is turning it into a " Haunted Bed and Breakfast " Waverly is a really sad place , from all the death that has happened there , the patients were treated like shit . you wouldn't want to go there unless you like to be scared .

i used to live in louisille and when i went in there u could hear things, see things and timmy threw a ball at me!! it scared the crap out of me and i got a few picures with orbs! crazy! im lookin forward to the night when i stay there in a few months!

I been dead, for a short while, and I can tell you your soul does not STAY on this earth, ghost do not exist. All the BS u hear from "oh god I hear something! Something pulled my hair! * screams*" uhu.. right.. I mean, they prbb have tapes hidden there with spooky music. And the lady who said that she felt something, prbb had her hair stuck behind something.
Doesnt mean I dont wanna go though xD

Yes, spirits do exist. if someone dies and sometimes if the person is filled with sadness, grief, and/or Anger then his/her spirit cannot go into the afterlife, something like that.

I've been there personally and unless you've been there how dare you call this phony. Ghosts are real. What do you think your soul is? When you die, your soul still lives. Your soul = Your Afterlife = Your Ghost. Your soul still alive, physically your not. Why is it so hard not to believe in the afterlife?

I went to a Haunted House once and there was an exhibit claiming to be shipped straight from "Waverly".
It was a few science-lab skeletons and a lab coat with ketchup squirted on it. I SO would've begged for my 6 dollars back if I could, but it was for a good cause, (a charity for the Humane Society, I believe,) so you can't really blame them for trying.

I live in Valley Station ( where Waverly is located ) and the owner is turning it into a " Haunted Bed and Breakfast " Waverly is a really sad place , from all the death that has happened there , the patients were treated like shit . you wouldn't want to go there unless you like to be scared .
