I went through the same thing with the headset. Go to control panel you dont need to unplug the headset well if its USB. ITs all in the control panel

On the Dell laptop network card issue, there's a flaky Internal NIC Configuration thing in the control panel with a check box that turns the internal NIC off when it's running on battery power to preserve battery life. Uncheck that stupid thing so the internal NIC is always getting power.

After the initial fun of watching the tabs di their flip-trick, the novelty soon wore off. I decided it looked great, but it wasn't worth risking the stability of Firefox or waste of system resources.
