It looks a very scared animal to me you can tell its very frightened poor thing, really though can't see an animal liking the red carpet at a premier even if it stole all the scenes in the film, I wonder who designed the dress she looks mezmerisingly beautiful. Angelina eat your heart out.
WHY are these people not thrown in jail for animal abuse? The poor monkey is very distressed! She's terrified and crying. And pepole think this is CUTE?
@allmonkeysarewild you obviously know nothing about animals, i've studied capuchins for 20 years in the wild, they make these noises when they're happy and playing not distressed
@luckywilly23 Goodness.... if you have been studying capuchin monkeys for two decades and don't recognise that this monkey's in distress, I'm afraid you might have chosen the wrong career... I've worked with capuchins both in captivity and in the wild for many years myself and know a distressed capuchin when I see one... and Crystal is not happy!
@luckywilly23 ??? Sorry, what? Because this monkey is distressed that means I have something to do with PETA? The monkey is stressed out and unhappy - this is very apparent from her behavior. Nothing to do with PETA, I'm afraid.
@allmonkeysarewild hello PETA your retarded this monkey is not distressed your distressed, she is having fun! tell me what makes you think this monkey is distressed please do tell.
@narutonut48 A few basic clues: 1) capuchin monkeys "grin" like crystal is doing in the video when they are frightened 2) capuchin monkeys make those vocalisations when they are frightened 3) doing backflips is not normal capuchin behavior 4) she's a wild animal, wearing a dress and surrounded by a huge crowd of people many times her size. I am a primatologist and have worked with rescued monkeys for years, so am in a pretty good position to judge what's going on here...
@allmonkeysarewild Wow 1 she is not smiling she has a very focused look on her face 2 I know that is a lie 3 you actually commented on a video where her owner said that she has been trained 4 she has been in filming for almost all her life, she likes the dress as seen in other videos, she loves meeting new people (also seen in other videos). So no your not in a good position. Oh and you commented at what 2 so i don't believe you have a job so ask your parents about this first okay.
@narutonut48 Do some research into monkey behavior. You will see that what I am saying is true. It's well established, and not a matter of your (or anyone's) opinion. If you can't be bothered to learn the truth about something why comment randomly on it?
@allmonkeysarewild It's funny how I have researched the subject and know quite a lot on it. And again your replying at 2 or so either your jobless or your still in school which means your a liar so I repeat talk to your parents first.
@narutonut48 No, you have not researched the subject. Or if you have, you have come up with some very poor information. Understand capuchin monkey behavior and you will understand that this monkey is distressed. Please, tell me about the "research" you have done and why you feel the need to prove that this monkey is OK? She's not OK, and it is really very sad. Why do you need to argue about it? Because you find it funny or cute and don't want to believe that it's not nice for the monkey?
@allmonkeysarewild READ MY WHOLE COMMENT. Again no reply to the fact that YOU ARE A LITTLE 8 OR YOUNGER LITTLE FAGGOT, still you should shut up and learn what is what, this monkey is NOT I REPEAT NOT in distress i have already stated why she is not in distress if you would read my comment and not just reply without reading it you would know this you fat fat stupid idiot. Sorry but you pushed me to far im done with these retarded people im not trying to fool anyone including myself
@narutonut48 I've read all of your comments, all the way through. I'd be thrilled to be 8 years old again, or to find out that this monkey is not distressed after all. But I am an adult, and a primatologist, and understand capuchin behavior - your uninformed opinion on how the monkey is feeling isn't going to change that. This is how capuchins act when they are distressed, it is as simple as that. I am really interested in why it upsets you so much that I am pointing this out?
@allmonkeysarewild whatever i'm done you will never understand because you only know what people have taught you and never what you can learn from watching actual monkeys and, i'm upset because you will obviously never know this.
@narutonut48 But I do know. I have watched many ("actual") monkeys for many hours in many different circumstances over many years. I know their behavior well, from personal experience. Please do tell me what experience you have? Why do you (mistakenly) think that this is not distressed behavior? And again, why is it so very important to you to be right about this? Why not just admit that maybe you were wrong? As I said, do some research.
From working around these primates on my reserve in the rain forest, I have found they all aspire to Hollywood. Her little noises aren't out of fright, but out of thrill of having so much attention ON THE RED CARPET of all places. Joanne Stanulonis, CEO, The Amazon Institute
I lost it laughing when she was smoking in the movie

I'll bet she thinks so too - better than the typical "organ grinder outfit" of yore.
