Sorry i'm not into cybergoth fashion ever since they started invading the WGT. I feel like saying to one of them... don't you have rave to go to.

There's something romantic about the festival being so solemn with a dead atmosphere. Then when a fellow shows up with freaky hair and bright clothing you lost that atmosphere...don't get me started on loligoths and japanese pop culture.

Tbh I know what you mean. I tend to dress more "Cyber" most of the time, but if I was going to go to anything like whitby goth weekend or anything of that sort I'd dress more victorian goth for it, bright colours and tubes coming out of your head would sorta ruin it. :<

well no offense but you can find goth clothes at places in the mall(not hot topic) that no goth would ever dare go to. so cybergoths are going for what isn't found in malls so to speak.

what are you talking about kinkyscholgirl, i never asked where to get goth clothes. The WGT, Wave Gotik Treffen, is THE goth festival held in germany.

Besides I ask a lady friend to make some of my clothes or buy it at some vintage store or online. Most of the time i just wear some pants, sweater, and some sort of shoes. It's a bit too uncomfortable and awkward to wear my full victorian clothes everyday. I'd probably kill myself if i have to go through that sort of fashion regiment everyday

well I wasn't really saying this is where you find clothes I was merely just stating a theory that more often then not you can find clothes that are Gothic in malls across America...so maybe cyber Goths are just going out of the norm of the "Gothic style" because everyone and their mother can pretend to be Goth with how accessible it is to get. also I know what the WGT is a friend of mine went last year in 2008... I was just stating something for the cyber goth fashion commented you had made

@KINKYSCHOOLGIRL *sigh* no offence but you could do a little bit of research on the difference of cyber goth mentality vs traditional goth before you comment like this. traditional goth is all about darkness/vampiric/victorian era thought process, cyber goth is all about post nuclear/post apocalyptic/futuristic/zombie outbreak type of thoughts thats why you usually see the biohazard symbol. Its not about people trying to be different from regular goths, its people who already think differently

I suit up for special occasions or goth festvals like the WGT.

I don't shop at Malls, it feels too artificial whether it be the lighting or the mannequins and i find no pleasure in shopping when i can make it myself or find someone to help me. I do buy the occasional product but it;s mainly something that is far beyond my skill level like chainmaille.

Nevertheless, Thanks for telling me where i can buy mass-produced and empty creative products with no story or passion behind it's making.
