@TheSisko1 Light travels at its constant speed. It takes a year for the light to travel one light-year. If the universe is 13 billion years old, then we can only see 13 billion light-years away, because the light emitted from further than that has not reached us yet. Thus this is the "edge" of visibility. In other words - the further you look, the further in the past you see. It is impossible to see beyond the big bang.
@TheSisko1 what i mean is, the big bang started at a specific point in space and then went on to expand into emptiness. no matter what direction we look into space the farthest we see is the edge of space. Space is expanding into something (maybe more empty space), what is in the space we are expanding into ?
@TheSisko1 I've just explained what they mean by the "edge". It doesn't mean that the universe has a real physical edge (a.k.a. end of the universe). We don't know if the universe is infinite or finite. Either way, we cannot observe what's beyond that "edge". And by definition if the universe has a real edge, then there's nothing beyond it because it's not spacetime anymore and non-existence.
Interesting, but it seems like you just scraped together other people's videos and added your own voice-over to their work. And it gets exasperating having to mute that damn music and then guess when it's over.
i think its improbable really for there not to be life more advanced than us. however something we do not know whether are impossible, no matter how intelligent the beings. such as light speed, or any kind of 2010-like civilisation. just as we have an observable universe, which is impossible to view due to expanding space, the universe we can travel to may be a reachable universe outside is only observable no matter what technology we have. so it may not ever be found even if there.
things like this always make me wonder: "Who's looking down at our galaxy, our planet, our little spec of space in the universe and is wondering if anybodys out here." Gosh I love this massive, yet amazing world we live in. :)
Wow interesting. It is more likely than not that there is other life our there but,as to how 'advanced' it is remains unknown. It is nice to know that people still ask simple things.I myself enjoy the childish feeling of an unanswered question or two;however,to leave such important questions that anyone can know with the"tick tick tick" of keys and the "thump thump thump" of a space bar is just ignorant. I beckon you people to have the common sense to rid yourself of ignorance and just Google it.
it would be nice if people learn how to do simple video editing and edit down the volume of the music. it is too loud while the volume is the talking ti too lowl
It would be nice to think there's life in all that space but really we've no idea how life comes about. We understand a lot about evoloution and getting from single celled organism...but you do you get from chemicals to cells? There are billions and billions of stars out there, true and I hope there is other life, but what's to say life doesn't have such specific needs to begin that it's amazing it started at all...we can't say there has to be life elsewhere until we know how life comes about.
the weird thing is...were seeing the biggest galaxies, i mean the absolutely massive ones, only when we look at the furthest point away from us. why arent we seeing these monsters close to us? something happens to the biggest galaxies that doesnt appear to affect smaller ones because the further away you look, the further back in time you look and so the nearest galaxies we only see millions of years ago but the furthest we see are being seen billions of years ago
they should make a GIANT telescope for viewing the most far objects on the Universe even beyond them...and where's nothing to view we can tell that's the edge of the Universe....but viewing billions light years in darkness after the last object...
@Lheonnar You can't look much farther than this. Mainly because of the redshift where visible light isn't visible at all, only infrared and radio waves.
With this, what you see the farthest is the oldest, galaxies since that time merged, are even farther than where you see them etc...
@EmeraldIsleStar the chances of our sun becoming an intergalactic star are VERY few, and also, by the time the process is over, our sun will have died anyway
the universe is set up for life, everything about it. the universe itsself is alive, ever moving and changing. u could look at the stars any night and see something going on. without any doubt there are other life forms like there are on our planet. everything out there is made from the same shit we are. i also know we arent supose to know, due to the rediculous amount of space between everything. our life span is so short in the grand scheme its pointless even thinking about it. just enjoy
From what i know Pioneer has been travelling in space at huge speeds yet will take 17500 years to reach ONE light year . and the universe is about a billion light years.. at least . Ugh
It astounds me that some people think we are the only ones, they seem to look into space as though its a TV picture and earth is the armchair they view it from, well, space is not a picture, it is real and there are trillions of planets just like ours, and someone on those planets are probably saying the same thing,i wonder if there's anybody else out there.
I found it in google earth. I wonder if it's possible that the universe loops around through the 4th spacial dimension like the 2D surface of a ball loops around the 3rd. So the ultra deep field is just us.
wouldn't it be weird if we found life 1 million light years away then started observing them knowing we could never make contact because what we're seeing happened 1 million years ago and they're most likely extinct by now
dont u find it so frustrating knowing there is so much out there, that we will never know! it pisses me off. hope when we die we get to see all that shit that we can see from earth. u know the universe it teeeming with life out there. has to be.
@propergeezer I like to think we would see it in some way. We certainly go "back to the void" - the matter we are made up of is as old as the Universe, always been here, always will be - the bodies atoms happened to come together & have the form of Human at the moment (and of course our bodies are always changing, the materials being shed and re-newed). So, I think perhaps we would lose any sense of being Human once we die but stay as a part of the "super organism" - the Universe itself.
Comparing us with the whole Universe we are not even small. the human race, our planet, our solar system are more likely like atoms for the big picture.
@sStAaMrl i wish all of you fucking idiots would actaually open your fucking eyes and see the truth, how the fuck could anyone even dream up soemthing like this? Think of humans, we are so vastly complicated it must have took thousands of years just to be able to think clearly with some intelligence, and then think how many millions of years it took to make galaxies how the fuck would anyone be able to concentrate on every single little life form and create all of this at the same time?
“Say: ‘If all mankind and the jinn would come together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce its like even though they exerted all and their strength in aiding one another.’” (17:88)
“Or do they say that he has invented it? Say (to them), ‘Bring ten invented chapters like it, and call (for help) on whomever you can besides God, if you are truthful.” (11:13)
Alif Lam Mim. (1) This Book has no doubt in it - a guidance for the God-fearing (1:2)
Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were an integrated mass, which We then split, and from water We made all living things? Will they not believe even then? (21:30)
Say: “Can any of your idols initiate creation, then revert it?” say “It is God who initiates the creation, and then reverts it. Then, how could you deviate?” (10:34)
On that day We will fold the heaven, like the folding of a book. Just as We initiated the first creation, We will revert it. This is Our promise. We will certainly fulfill it. (21:104)
And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."(5)Say: "It is been sent down by the One who knows the secret of the heavens and the earth. Truly, He is Most-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (25:6)
i like it when ppl think we humans will be here for a long time. nope . no way we'll either kill our selves or destroy this planet b4 any other major event would have taken place
i like it when ppl think we humans will be here for a long time. nope . no way we'll either kill our selves or destroy this planet b4 any other major would have taken place
It always blows my mind to think some other civilization is looking towards us naming our galaxy god knows what and saying "look at those dumbasses planets there's no way there's life over there keep searching".
@kennyb010 If they are able to identify our planets then surely they will be able to see there us life here. with the over 2000 sattellites orbiting our earth and sending radio frequenecies in every direction. If they can see this far then they can pick up or radio waves.
@smcfags You stop messing around, there is no proof of god. There is proof of Evolution and that the building blocks of life has come from super nova's such as the iron in our blood, the carbon in our mussels and the oxygen we breath. No body knows what we are doing and why we are here in this ocean of chaos. Religion is just something made up by the human brain to help people feel more comfortable. Its almost 2012 and people need to open up there eyes and be open minded and see whats going on.
@adamjosiah123 No there isn't, you cannot prove or disprove God. You can only find evidence leading towards one of the two, and you'll be suprised by the amount of evidence leaning towards God.
@adamjosiah123 OK then, This is just one little peice,I'll type more after I get some sleep Did you know that the book of genesis, the first book of the bible, is in ABSOLUTE harmony with the way science says the earth was made. If the book is read within context and not taken literally. Now it's your turn show me prooof God doesn't exists
@SilverfangX777 What does it say about the earth being made? That it and the universe was made in 7 days? Ya thats bullshit. If god was real then why is this world so fucked? Why are people so stupid? Why would god care about just us on this small spec of dust insignificant planet? It dosnt say shit in the bible about science. Dosnt talk about how big the universe is cause they didnt know shit when they wrote it. It says we are the only ones in the universe witch is absolute bullshit.
@SilverfangX777 I do believe there is something that created all this but we as humans could never comprehend or imagine what that could be. Human beings just wrote the bible to comprehend being human and to have something to live for. Truth is we humans have no idea what the hell is going on in this ocean of chaos we call life.
@adamjosiah123 OK so your basically an agnostic, If I'm correct. I'll continue this conversation later in the day via PM. I have to be somewhere right now, is that ok with you?
but if there are other civilizations, and if it happens to be one that it is one let's say 2 million years ahead of us, it's more likely that their intelligence has no limits, and that they know every inch of the universe, so this means that they already know who we are, and they are watching us, we are not alone? we have never been.
And lucabaracuda987 is quite right when he/she replied to you.
You see, inflationary theory suggests, that at some point in the past in the early creation of the universe, all matters were clumped or sat near together - which means they were all almost the same age, and then for some reason there came the unimaginable sudden jump or the "inflation" where things just ballooned out of proportion. Thus expanded into almost infinity.
@relativityprinciple if our civilizations still exist in one million years from now, it would be so freaking differenet, human's would no longer be humans like today's ordinary humans, technology would boom, my point is if there is any intelligent life just like humans but they are some millions of years ahead, the difference is so huge. like I said, they would know every single inch of the entire universe, they would be just like Gods.
so, how old is the universe? 14Billions, and that galaxy is in what direction? I wonder if we look at the opposite way we would look at another 13 billion light years away, or combining both directions can we get longer than 14Billion light years? same for speed light, point A getting away from point B = speed of light X 2. so the speed of light can be double and it's no true that the speed limit is the speed of light.
@1800levso it is 14 billions years. But my guess is as the Universe is expanding at a very high speed, galaxies were clumped up at the beginning of the big bang. So now year you're right we might have an Universe that is 28-30 light years across or even more, but its still 14 billions years old. Hope it makes sense :)
Its funny how we look for intelligent life in other planets as well as other resources, but the truth is, we are jealous people, if their is another intelligent being we would just collide with it and probably kill it.
after watching these videos i have come to the conclution there HAS to be thousands+ of other life forms in the universe... if that small bit of space that was photgraphed has thousands of galaxys each one containing billions of stars and having billions of planets there no doubt has to be other life in the universe
@arsenalsoccer2 Exactly! They say that every third planet in a solar system is capable of upholding life, so imagine how many planets are possible of doing so...
@hidarichan81 This is not true. The conditions of life depend also on the mass and energy of the sun, on the size of the planet, on the gravity of the star and many other factors. It has nothing to do with 3rd planet.
@arsenalsoccer2 so if there is billions of different hybrid races out there, chances are that we are not as intelligent as the other trillion existing species in universe, then question arouses, how come that other trillion different smart species haven't found a way to contact humans? Personally I believe that we MUST be the only survived living organisms out there. Cosmos may be infinite, possibilities for what ever questions and mysteries one has are limitless, I can give u 1000 different 1s
@arsenalsoccer2 Also, don't forget that this universe is NOT the only one. There are also parallel universes right in front of your nose but in different dimensions from level 1 to 4. Yes, that is beyond all human understandings. Imagine a copy of yourself and any being, somewhere is other dimension. THE SAME YOU! Source: Netflix/The universe/season 3 / parallel universe
@arsenalsoccer2 Question is, How is our current technology gonna let us find other life? I really want to know that! Our current tech is probably baby shit compared to other life forms tech.
We cant even get the space shuttle to work properly around our own planet....we are not traveling vast distances through space anytime soon. Big Bang? Really? We cannot come up with something else? The universe so organized beyond mankinds thinking. "Yeah we speculate there was this giant explosion....and suddenly everything magically came into existence." I have personally blown up a lot of crap....never created anything except destruction. Insulting to mankind's intelligence.
@mrszent Are you suggesting scientists should only put out theories that reflect the importance of humans? thats not called science then. They have seen the evidence and this is their best guess as to what happened. The universe is not organized at all i dont know what you base that on. The andromada galaxy will eventually collide and essentially eat us. We are essentially all nuclear waste.
@TheMossad921 The universe is very organized. A simple example: Nebulae form a huge number of stars. When these stars die, those large enough will leave a nebula in their area of explosion. Thus there is a constant recycling of energy in the universe. Also the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies will collide in about 4.5 billion years. I doubt humanity will exist by then.
@TheMossad921 even if galaxies collide the stars in them are barely affected, we wouldnt feel anything at all, we would just become part of a larger galaxy, lol "eat us" and "nuclear waste", you are fucking retarded, and really you should go fuck yourslef for trying to explain to that poor bastard such things, i dont care what he believes in, but an idiot like you surely cant help him out
@mrszent It's organized? Please, completely opposite. Everything that happens in the universe is completely random. Obeying only the laws of physics. And what TheMossad921 said.
@teipoi But you do agree through your statement it only obeys the laws of physics. Curious what is law? A set of rules enforced by some authority? We are are confident in certain laws, we perceive due to experiments over the years. But there has been times when we have peered into unknown events and have been confused. Only through time, and a collection of knowledge, we have understood what at one time seemed barren, useless, confusing.....now is understood.
@mrszent Nope. Sure, set of rules enforced by us, yes. We made the rules, to help understanding and putting things in order. It's just our way of measuring things. That's laws of physics. We just say, "well, this is something of something, and this is something of something." It's nothing but a word, set a meaning to. Science itself is only observing things, actions to reactions, testing things. Things that happens in the universe just happens. There is no order there.
Not to forget when we look at distance we are only seeing lagged light of the past. So IF there is other intelligent life looking for us they would probably looking at how the earth was formed lol
my question is this.. if this light is 13 billion years old, how did matter expand faster then the speed of light, how are we 13 billion years INFRONT of the light that we are now seeing that has been burned out for 13 billion years. how come this question is never asked?
this question has already been asked in physics and heres the boiled down answer:
the early universe is like an deflated balloon with dense areas of matter, picture raisins, spread all along the surface (and embedded within it buts lets not get complicated)
now when it inflates, the empty space (ballon rubber) expands faster than the speed of light, but the matter never travels at this speed because its riding on empty space, which can move faster than light
@charbroiledmonk1033 i believe calling the universe a balloon is like calling the earth flat because the only way we can measure is if if we go to the far reaches of the universe. Calling it a balloon is like saying the edge of the universe has a wall you will bump into!! what if it is infinite and is like going round and round in circles and the galaxies we look at is our own given off by its own light?
@Shaft first of all, the geometry of the "mobius sphere" is unheard of because mathematicians and theoretical physicists still have to work out string theory before we start pulling different dimensions out of our ass. Also, the balloon is a rudimentary example on PURPOSE, obviously its more complicated than that, I USED RAISINS FOR MATTER! Also galaxies we see are just our own light?!!! thats the most laughable conclusion ever, considering we cant see past the background infrared radiation
@charbroiledmonk1033 i see it as like all theory is bulls*** no matter how smart you are until it is proven like when humanity thought the earth was flat at one point until the theory was proven wrong. have an open mind :)
@ShafaeyIqbal im not saying i dont, i believe that evidence is the ultimate answer, not speculation thats sounds good. I am not really attacking what you proposed. I was more peeved that you attacked my example because you mistook my basic representation as ignorance. I stole it from Michio Kaku so if you want to blame someone from the lack of clarity dont blame me. peace
@charbroiledmonk1033 don't worry no offence was taken or given! All we will have is opinion-filled speculation until we as a human race get there. First we now have to discover faster ways to get around and cheaper ways to exit the atmosphere. Ever thought what resources humankind can extract from the moon or astroids as obama is planning?
Astromaner say only 1 out of 24 million plantes will have human life like creature on it, but i dought that is true as many people, and govermants know aliens are already here, but we cant just call them aliens if are not aliens, we are aliens To aliens, and a second stufy said that our galaxy could hold millions of civilizations
@JAGTheHacker ur right because they are very far away and it takes time for light to travel so those r probly pictures of millions maybe even billions of years ago maybe in a few billion more years if the earth still exists which i am confident that it wont we will actually see what that galaxy would wook like on 2011
Humans are one of the youngest, thus primitive, species in the universe. We are just beginning to learn the universe, maybe like 0.001% of it. Its very possible there are far more ancient and advanced sentient species in the universe that are probably capable of travelling vast distances in the galaxies within hours. The most highly evolved and ancient beings are probably capable of travelling to other dimensions, they could be in Earth, but in a different frequency, thus cannot be seen.
@Archangelicque that is what someone would think right? im sorry but it is anatomically impossible because the possibility for more than one planet sustainable for life is 1 over more than the number of atoms in the universe! Think im full of it ? read a brief history of time by steven hawking the smartest man alive when it comes astrophysics
@PSYCHOTICsweed It could be other forms of life, not necessarily the same as that of Earth. Life finds ways. I'm just keeping an open mind here. We know every little about the universe, to flat out say other sentient lifeforms in other planets do not exist is implying that humans are the most advanced species in the universe. If you like to think that way fine, but I like to believe the Universe has much more to offer other than human beings.
Fucking he'll if I go on another space video and theres another comment saying " Look at gods creation" blah blah blah until there is legit proof of his existence I will not believe it because it is a stupid and flawed idea to say a man in the sky created everything it's complete nonsense and I'm sick of idiots saying that it makes more sence than science when it cleary is just a stupid theory!
No, I bet they already have extremely advanced technology and are going from galaxies to galaxies to find more living species and have already united together. We humans are probably the farthest behind in technology.
@pbleecm28 that is what someone would think right? im sorry but it is anatomically impossible because the possibility for more than one planet sustainable for life is 1 over more than the number of atoms in the universe! Think im full of it ? read a brief history of time by steven hawking the smartest man alive when it comes astrophysics
ok i got someting in my mind idk if its already done but why cant they put video cam on the telescope and see stuff i know it cnt go far like the pic or the lasers but it moves around the solar syster dont it it would be cool to see a video of space
The problem with false conjecture is it creates argument and not discussion. Gravity theory is over 300 years old. We can and are doing better than that. The universe is electric. Plasma science is proving that with rigorous experiments, and not scientific conjecture. With a little research you will have your answers. We are not nor have we ever been alone. Then the next question, why has the truth been supressed? If religion was true there would be only 1.

We exist in this universe, so why can't their be others. what would they say about us? We can build machines to uncover the mysteries of the universe and build a space station two hundred plus miles in space, but can't stop an oil leak. What was that all about. the universe is set up for life, everything about it. the universe itsself is alive, ever moving and changing. u could look at the stars any night and see something going on. without any doubt there are other life forms like there are on our planet. everything out there is made from the same shit we are. i also know we arent supose to know, due to the rediculous amount of space between everything. our life span is so short in the grand scheme its pointless even thinking about it. just enjoy

So the ultra deep field is just us.

propergeezer 3 months ago
@propergeezer I like to think we would see it in some way. We certainly go "back to the void" - the matter we are made up of is as old as the Universe, always been here, always will be - the bodies atoms happened to come together & have the form of Human at the moment (and of course our bodies are always changing, the materials being shed and re-newed). So, I think perhaps we would lose any sense of being Human once we die but stay as a part of the "super organism" - the Universe itself.

but if there are other civilizations, and if it happens to be one that it is one let's say 2 million years ahead of us, it's more likely that their intelligence has no limits, and that they know every inch of the universe, so this means that they already know who we are, and they are watching us, we are not alone? we have never been.
1800levso 3 months ago
@1800levso
You may be right or wrong at the same time.
Thus expanded into almost infinity.
relativityprinciple 3 months ago
@1800levso
So by that, even if they were billions of years away from us - it doesn't necessarily mean they were so ahead of us in technology.
So, for all I care, there's no way to tell that even some intelligent beings do exist in other parts that they are better than us.
We might be even more advanced than they are.
relativityprinciple 3 months ago
@relativityprinciple if our civilizations still exist in one million years from now, it would be so freaking differenet, human's would no longer be humans like today's ordinary humans, technology would boom, my point is if there is any intelligent life just like humans but they are some millions of years ahead, the difference is so huge. like I said, they would know every single inch of the entire universe, they would be just like Gods.

Disendant 4 months ago
so, how old is the universe? 14Billions, and that galaxy is in what direction? I wonder if we look at the opposite way we would look at another 13 billion light years away, or combining both directions can we get longer than 14Billion light years? same for speed light, point A getting away from point B = speed of light X 2. so the speed of light can be double and it's no true that the speed limit is the speed of light.
1800levso 4 months ago
@1800levso it is 14 billions years. But my guess is as the Universe is expanding at a very high speed, galaxies were clumped up at the beginning of the big bang. So now year you're right we might have an Universe that is 28-30 light years across or even more, but its still 14 billions years old. Hope it makes sense :)

hidarichan81 3 months ago
@hidarichan81 This is not true. The conditions of life depend also on the mass and energy of the sun, on the size of the planet, on the gravity of the star and many other factors. It has nothing to do with 3rd planet.

mrszent 5 months ago
@mrszent Are you suggesting scientists should only put out theories that reflect the importance of humans? thats not called science then. They have seen the evidence and this is their best guess as to what happened. The universe is not organized at all i dont know what you base that on. The andromada galaxy will eventually collide and essentially eat us. We are essentially all nuclear waste.
TheMossad921 5 months ago 14
@TheMossad921
in quite a few billion years....
castronm69 5 months ago
@TheMossad921 The universe is very organized. A simple example: Nebulae form a huge number of stars. When these stars die, those large enough will leave a nebula in their area of explosion. Thus there is a constant recycling of energy in the universe. Also the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies will collide in about 4.5 billion years. I doubt humanity will exist by then.
Logicman132 3 months ago
@TheMossad921 even if galaxies collide the stars in them are barely affected, we wouldnt feel anything at all, we would just become part of a larger galaxy, lol "eat us" and "nuclear waste", you are fucking retarded, and really you should go fuck yourslef for trying to explain to that poor bastard such things, i dont care what he believes in, but an idiot like you surely cant help him out
zenoparodie 2 months ago
@mrszent It's organized? Please, completely opposite. Everything that happens in the universe is completely random. Obeying only the laws of physics. And what TheMossad921 said.
teipoi 5 months ago
@teipoi But you do agree through your statement it only obeys the laws of physics. Curious what is law? A set of rules enforced by some authority? We are are confident in certain laws, we perceive due to experiments over the years. But there has been times when we have peered into unknown events and have been confused. Only through time, and a collection of knowledge, we have understood what at one time seemed barren, useless, confusing.....now is understood.
mrszent 5 months ago
@mrszent Nope. Sure, set of rules enforced by us, yes. We made the rules, to help understanding and putting things in order. It's just our way of measuring things. That's laws of physics. We just say, "well, this is something of something, and this is something of something." It's nothing but a word, set a meaning to. Science itself is only observing things, actions to reactions, testing things. Things that happens in the universe just happens. There is no order there.

my question is this.. if this light is 13 billion years old, how did matter expand faster then the speed of light, how are we 13 billion years INFRONT of the light that we are now seeing that has been burned out for 13 billion years. how come this question is never asked?
MrChrisfranko 6 months ago
@MrChrisfranko wow arent you a genius
this question has already been asked in physics and heres the boiled down answer:
the early universe is like an deflated balloon with dense areas of matter, picture raisins, spread all along the surface (and embedded within it buts lets not get complicated)
now when it inflates, the empty space (ballon rubber) expands faster than the speed of light, but the matter never travels at this speed because its riding on empty space, which can move faster than light
charbroiledmonk1033 6 months ago
@charbroiledmonk1033 i believe calling the universe a balloon is like calling the earth flat because the only way we can measure is if if we go to the far reaches of the universe. Calling it a balloon is like saying the edge of the universe has a wall you will bump into!! what if it is infinite and is like going round and round in circles and the galaxies we look at is our own given off by its own light?
ShafaeyIqbal 5 months ago
@Shaft first of all, the geometry of the "mobius sphere" is unheard of because mathematicians and theoretical physicists still have to work out string theory before we start pulling different dimensions out of our ass. Also, the balloon is a rudimentary example on PURPOSE, obviously its more complicated than that, I USED RAISINS FOR MATTER! Also galaxies we see are just our own light?!!! thats the most laughable conclusion ever, considering we cant see past the background infrared radiation
charbroiledmonk1033 5 months ago
@charbroiledmonk1033 i see it as like all theory is bulls*** no matter how smart you are until it is proven like when humanity thought the earth was flat at one point until the theory was proven wrong. have an open mind :)
ShafaeyIqbal 5 months ago
@ShafaeyIqbal im not saying i dont, i believe that evidence is the ultimate answer, not speculation thats sounds good. I am not really attacking what you proposed. I was more peeved that you attacked my example because you mistook my basic representation as ignorance. I stole it from Michio Kaku so if you want to blame someone from the lack of clarity dont blame me. peace
charbroiledmonk1033 5 months ago
@charbroiledmonk1033 don't worry no offence was taken or given! All we will have is opinion-filled speculation until we as a human race get there. First we now have to discover faster ways to get around and cheaper ways to exit the atmosphere. Ever thought what resources humankind can extract from the moon or astroids as obama is planning?

Humans are one of the youngest, thus primitive, species in the universe. We are just beginning to learn the universe, maybe like 0.001% of it. Its very possible there are far more ancient and advanced sentient species in the universe that are probably capable of travelling vast distances in the galaxies within hours. The most highly evolved and ancient beings are probably capable of travelling to other dimensions, they could be in Earth, but in a different frequency, thus cannot be seen.
