I am surprise that your fishes can live together happily but mine cannot. My baby majestic is always been attacked by bicolor angelfish that I have to remove the baby majestic in other tanks. Poor him.
My angels do not like each other first up into. They will want to beat up the new comer. I usaully have to keep the tank completely dark for two days. then gradually turn on the lights and keeping all fish overfed for the first few days to reduce agression. Giving them a lot of room also helps.
I had a majestic angelfish for about 5 years. Amazing fish. It never grew though, but it was pretty big. I loved it and was really upset when it died. You get very attached after 5 years haha! I also saw a flame angel in there. I had about three of those but each of them died a few weeks after being introduced to the tank. Keep up the videos, I love looking at others' fish from time to time. Very beautiful tank.
nice tank and fish mate!! i just bought a majestic too, il put on here soon. i had big trouble when i put mine in tho!! my emperor and blueface went mental at him so i took them out into my spare tank and a week later re introduced them and all was fine!
How are the angels getting along with each other? I also love angelfish but they fight if kept together in a small space, although introducing them together while young seems to help. Nice setup!
Hi philidor, Thanks for your comment. The angels size each other periodically but never hurt each other. In my 180 gallon tank, there was room for them to give each other their own personal spaces. They were gradually introduced to each other to prevent an agressive attach by the resident angels. Once a dominant angel is established, the other angels give way.
I do appreciate it. This tank just got set up in late July 2008 so I plan do add more to it. The xenia, frog spawn, xmas tree, mushrooms corals are fine. I just keep the angels fed on other stuff. They did peck at my button polyps but I removed the polyps.
