Retro fitting new style defender rear seats into a 1991 county 110

Hi, I really like what you have done here, and was thinking about doing this myself. I have just a few questions though, don't the seats need to be mounted to the chassis for optimal safety? And would fitting these seats myself stop me from getting a MOT etc?

Sorry if some of the questions are a bit silly but land rovers are all a bit new for me!
