I have had this kit since 1990, and my father bought me another one after the one in 1990 broke down in 1996. My favorite projects is the radio circuits such as the One Transistor AM radio project, and the AM broadcaster.
Several years ago, I had a 200 in one kit but gave it away. I sort of regretted doing so. So when I saw a similar kit, completely intact, I decided I wanted it right away. Something like this is a collector's item.
Btw: telj 1: I think ebay has good deals, though I haven't tried craigslist of yet.
I think this is the older or oldest model, with a plastic front and outer body. There are switches, dials and levers in front. No incandescent bulb but other components, including red and green LED, relay and transformer. I had pretty much the same kit back in 1985 or 1986. Amazing to find another one at the local goodwill store.
helllo there i had one of these when i was 8 or 9 I found it the other day for my little bro to have a play with but found that the manual was missing ): does anyone know where i can find the manual on the internet? im having no luck trying to find it
I've had the same problem myself. Not even sure if the Radio Shack site itself has any copies of the manual in PDF format or something like that. Good luck.
Managed to find this particular kit at the local Goodwill store. So happens I had another kit of the same kind (200 in 1) several years ago but gave it away. Sort of regretted doing so then but was glad for a second chance. There's some neat projects with the kit, at least.
According to the Electronic Project kit book, page 60 (Project #104): Wiring is:
1-167, 2-78-101, 29-138, 30-76-93, 50-94-96, 52-77-95, 53-173, 54-174, 58-51-102-137, 60-168. The circuit uses a transistor, as well as a speaker, capicitors and resistors. As for the schematic, if you are lucky enough to have the book, you'll find it on page 60 as well. Good luck. The circuit seems basically simple, yet satisfyingly noisy.
Thank YOU! How'd you guess? I have the Forrest Mims Electronics Learning Lab, alright. Been discovering the cool sounds I can get from using the 555 Timer IC, as well as transistors, among other components. Learning alot about electronics at the same time, which definitely helps. Thanks for making my day. Glad to know I managed to put a smile on someone's face.
Thanks for sharing. Have you tried the Forrest Mims Electronics Learning Lab? I bought this Nexxtech one first, but found it really cheesy, lol. Ended up returning it.
The Mims one comes with tons of parts (including something like a dozen integrated circuits) and I found it much more hands-on and in depth.
I hate when that happens--when manuals or other important papers disappear, sometimes even permanently! Thanks for the comments.

Lol, I had one of these years ago.
I'm 35 now, and I think I had one when I was about 11.
It looked slightly different in the front panel, but the board
looks the same.

I'm 33 and I still have mine. I've used it nearly every year since I was 10, for one project or another.

i got the 130-in-one manual. not 200 in one :(

@THEtechknight I still have a 130 in one kit kicking around - played with it a crapload of times - the only thing I built was an AM broadcaster

You said 'if you are lucky enough to have the book'. I just picked up one of these with the book included. Is it rare, or something?

My mistake. Besides, I think I bought that kit fairly recently, if a year can be called recent. I'm sure similar kits are available.

i had this kit when i was like 7 or 8... and i am 17 now... i thought that they had gotten rid of it for some reason...
