@Kaaba69 You can pick however the hell you want to pick. There is no "right" way to pick. When your learning it's recommended to go strict alternate picking but that's just for technique building. If your learning a song best thing to do is go with what is most comfortable for you. Of coarse if your still a beginner then try and do alternate picking. Certain parts are easier played alternate picking and others are easy with economy. But just to be clear there is no right or wrong way to pick.

@theteeheegroup There is a suggested way to pick but there are different schools of thought on what is better. Some people use strict alternate pick and other use economy picking for example. As far as certain songs go, it's up to the musician who wrote the song who decides how he/she wants to pick, but it's not a strict law to have to pick exactly like the original recording either. I've played many live shows before and honestly, i don't even pay attention to my picking anymore i just play.
