Here in the Finland Donald duck is way more famous than Mickey mouse. Mickey doesn't even have his own comic books. Donald has it all.

lol, it always seems that when it comes to Ducks they always take 2nd place when either a mouse or a rabbit comes into play. im not much of a bug bunny fan but Mickey is kool. Lets hope donald gets to celebrate his 100th B-day. if disney can regain their senses and give Hannah montana and the Jonas Bros the Boot.

@Estrellita1996ful I was forced to hear kids watching a show called "Shake It Up!", and as I thought, there was nothing redeemable about it -- the canned laughing is heard after nearly *every single line*, the jokes are not funny, the accents of some characters sounded fake, and the cast would make that of "The Room" look like the cast from "E.T." It's just painful! X|

Good question! How did a Mickey Mouse cartoon get into Donald's hands. I remember seeing Donald put all his cartoons on the table and they all said Donald Duck.

Does anybody remember the name of the program where donald takes out all the films cans, and puts a Mickey cartoon on the projector? I remember that another part was a Goofy cartoon where he was hunting ducks.

That's "Happy Birthday Donald", a Wonderful World of DIsney episode from around 1959.

The Mickey cartoon Donald (reluctantly) projects is "Mickey and the Seal" (1948), the Goofy one is "Foul Hunting" (1947). You can probably find both of those around here somewhere.

Thanks a bunch! I also remember a scene with Hewy Dewy and Lewy(sp?) where Donald forces them to smoke cigars. I also havea very vague memory about a cartoon with an ant, and something about a cocanut(sp?).

It's from the Disneyland TV episode (part of Disney Anthology Series). The episode is "At Home with Donald Duck" (If I remember correctly).

Yeah, we've been dreaming about the whole Disneyland series for years and sometimes Disney put some episodes on one of the 9 waves of Disney Treasures upon a DVD theme. Though, that would've been a FANTASTIC idea for us old Disney fans who love vintage material. :)

It wasn't created for this special, it was created in 1959 (I think) for a Wonderful World Of Disney episode. Although, typical of those kinds of episodes' formats, it was meant to segue from "Donald's Happy Birthday" a cartoon from 10 years earlier.

I love it when Donald, angry at Mickey, sits down at reads a Donald Duck comic book. Cause Donalds comics, at the hands of the master Carl Barks and the expert Don Rosa, are superior to many other comic books. Mickey's comic book storys can't scratch the heels on Donalds foot.
