  • This album was great and this is my favorite song on it. Too bad Wildlife was shitty

  • to the people who say this is horrible..just because it isnt edited with a bunch of crap to make the band sound cool doesnt mean they suck..they are the best band i have ever known and i love them=]. they are natural and just freaking rad as hell!..

  • Raw. Emotional. Beautiful.

  • he is horrible. his lyrics are good when you are ONLY reading them. i looked up the song on youtube, and i'm veryyy disappointed. he sucks so much

  • He's not actually singing, he's talking strangely...

  • This is so unbelievably beautiful.

  • @AdamJones514 im going to see them in april.

  • Does anybody know the chances of hearing this live? It doesn't seem feasible..

  • @AdamJones514 they play this live at almost every show actually.. Look it up.. its just as powerful

  • @rebeccaisback69 Thank you for bringing that info to my attention. It just made my day :D I can't wait to see them!

  • Oh gosh so much emotion in their music...Yes cause that is real music, with real emotions and real words. Happiness is a way, not a destination. Life.

  • I started this song laying on my bed, eyes closed. I've ended it, sitting up straight, pressing my headphones against my ears, wanting to consume every word, letter, sound of the song into the deepest of my soul ... I know that a lot of my friend won't like this song, but I hope all of them can feel the emotion.

  • "But the Truth is it was sorrow that I made and would not face. See, I keep falling for the future after tripping on the past and I am always tearing sutures out to make the anguish last like it defines me or reminds me I've found comfort in my suffering and uncertainty in happiness and death, because what's next is such a mystery to me. I am terrified of all the things I feel but cannot see."

    GENIUS.

  • @chosentonessournotes My favourite part of an exceptionally good song.

  • This was the first time i heard this song... i have a boner...

  • Jordan put so much emotion in his words, it's incredible. La Dispute is that kind of band that you can listen to every day and still manage to feel different emotion every time. Everything is perfect : the voice, the lyrics, the instruments, everything. This is real music ; emotions and meaning.

  • And I can't describe that feeling when i listen to la dispute

  • we are butt lovers, we are the last of our kind.

  • there is sooo much meaning in each and every song. i cant get enough.

  • Listen to this in the dark with your eyes closed.

  • this song literally gave me the chills, because it's so good.

  • i fucking love la dispute!!!!! so much angst, love it to pieces!!!!!

  • Hater problem? The like bar speaks wonders.

  • Sounds like he needs a tampon.

  • @RKZMUSIC1 Sounds like you're a troll.

  • @RKZMUSIC1 don't be a hypocrite.

  • Dumbass haters. His voice expresses his feelings. Don't like it? Go listen to your music. I won't judge your music, if you don't judge mine.

  • I knew Janet Devlin had a bit of 'La Dispute' in her! This has made my day...

  • IF BULLSHIT WERE MUSIC ! THIS WOULD BE MUSIC. UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS NOT BULLSHIT. IT'S FAR, FAR BEYOND THAT. THIS IS CLEARLY NOISE & NONSENSE FOR THE MENTALLY ILL. AN EXCELLENT TEST FOR IT THOUGH. YOU KNOW YOU HAVE IT IF YOUR GOING BANANAS OVER THIS UTTER GARBAGE SCREEMING ! ENJOY !

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES lol, witty one you are...

  • @shamBuKiTLAdTS - GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT. YOU PASSED YOUR SANITY TEST !

  • Can't take the lyrics seriously when he sings like this.

    Flame on.

  • The shortest and best 12 minutes of my life every time I hear it!

  • You know a songs amazing when it goes for 12 minutes and it leaves you wanting more.

  • I'm so mezmorized in his words.

  • I can't go one day without listening to this song.

  • WE ARE BUTTLOVERS.

  • @BryanJ136 I'm a butt lover :)

  • This guy is the greatest poet I have ever heard.

  • This is the best song of all time. The emotion in his voice near the end kills.

  • This song isn't long enough.

  • Good song, and FreddyMercurysAIDS sucks.

  • 9:15 is the best part!

  • @skypizie but but 8:20 is the best moment. It is simple, quick, quiet, but perfect.

  • this made me burst in tears, but that's normal if your ex (you still love till death) sends you this i guess.

  • The best part of the song is 9:15 to 11:00

  • fduhsijoksdf <3

  • why are there 8 dislikes? clear jealousy of the talent these dudes have.

  • Comment removed

  • @PierceTheVeilGal fuck you chump

  • Lyrics are very mediocre, but besides that this band is somewhat talented.

  • @FreddyMercurysAIDS you can't be serious... These are some of the most poetic and genius lyrics I've ever seen! The only possible complaint I could see is the vocals.. only because they are totally different from anything anyone has heard. As far as the rest of the band goes, they all have amazing talent and there is no "somewhat" about it. Come on dude, you had to expect a comment like this seeing as the only thing that is mediocre here is your comment.

  • @DeathAwaitsYouAll These are poetic? Read some more poems if you think La Dispute is the epitome of poetry, faggot.

  • @FreddyMercurysAIDS How did I know you would retaliate with not only an idiotic statement, but also a pathetic insult. Did you even STUDY poetry in high school? Last I checked, a poem can still be a poem without rhyming. Also, throwing around big words in an attempt to look smart is also humorous. I don't remember saying that this song or this band was the "epitome" of poetry and if you truly think that, maybe you should list some bands to back up your pathetic argument.

  • @DeathAwaitsYouAll And, where did I say poems had to rhyme? By the way, if you think epitome is a big word, you might want to return to highschool, faggot.

  • @FreddyMercurysAIDS You didn't. But seeing as you have no idea what the word means, I figured you just were too stupid and ignorant to know that. There is no reason for me to keep arguing since I will never win. You seem to think your opinion is the only one that matters and you insult anyone who disagrees with you.

And while epitome may not be a "big word", it still isn't a word you hear every day. I'll attempt to be cool like you and end it with the following; Goodbye faggot!

  • @DeathAwaitsYouAll I always get the last word in; you're the biggest faggot that ever existed because you have Dragonforce in your favorites.

  • @FreddyMercurysAIDS LOL! Now you're resorting to my channel for your argument? Wow dude. I happened to click on the most disturbing link I have ever seen anywhere on the Internet on your channel. What explanation do you have to have a link on your channel that leads to wrinkly old men sucking each other off? Is that something you watch on a regular basis or something? You're an obvious troll and total loser in life. Fuck off, good night you fucking faggot piece of shit virgin who sucks cock.

  • @DeathAwaitsYouAll U MAD, THAD?

  • @FreddyMercurysAIDS Why don't you leave the comment box empty? That would of been just as useful as your last sentence. You've made my night bro, later.

  • @DeathAwaitsYouAll I didn't make your night, because you won't be sleeping after seeing two old men giving each other dome.

  • @FreddyMercurysAIDS @DeathAwaitsYouAll oh my god just shut the fuck up and enjoy the music

  • Listening to La Dispute makes me feel like at any moment I could burst into tears and have a crying, screaming outburst, whether it be from complete joy or a psychological breaking point. I feel like I’m in an empty room that has infinite possibilities of what can be experienced there. It’s like nothing and yet everything exists at the same time and there are no limitations to what I can and can’t think or do. Everything is infinite. Everything is beautiful. Everything is tragic.

  • @TravauxEnCours this is really beautiful ;)

  • @TravauxEnCours fuck that's gay

  • @conqueronline69 yeah man feelings are so gay

  • @conqueronline69 Dude, i bet he smoked up that's why he's like this.

  • @TravauxEnCours THIS

  • @TravauxEnCours Please message me your dealers number.

  • @TravauxEnCours You sound high as a fucking kite. But I agree.

  • @TravauxEnCours STFU

  • I got to see La Dispute live recently. I have never heard of a single song from this band.. I am an old man who's favorite band is Fugazi. This band hit a switch in me I have not turned on since the early 90's. The intensity and feel of every song was sooooooo refreshing. My favorite new band.

  • La Dispute never changed the way I appreciated music, I was fortunate to grow up on the sweet sounds of Thursday. That was music to me, then La Dispute came into my life and soon found its place into my soul right next to Thursday. Kids these days will never know how amazing music used to be when it had a meaning, not just a catchy beat.

  • @JerichoHanley "Kids these days will never know how amazing music used to be when it had a meaning, not just a catchy beat."

These words can be seen on any music video on youtube, from any time, any genre, any band. Someone will listen to this song, then go right back to listening to Journey or Boston or whatever and write the exact same thing about the music they listen to. And someone else who listens to Kid Rock will do the same thing 5 years from now when the next whatever comes out.

  • @bluescarlet11

"I hear a lot of people with a similar complaint to mine, but It is really sad that Beiber has become the new popular style. Nothing against Beiber of any other new artist it's just that to me music need to have a point behind it."

  • @JerichoHanley I know. I hear "a similar complaint" on a lot of songs, including ones you may not think have much of a point. You can see it on the videos for Limp Bizkit, Huey Lewis and the News, or Jimmy Eat World, you name it. Other people will listen to The Last Lost Continent and think it is complete shit. And then you'll listen to what they listen to, and think their music is shitty, or "pointless." Your complaint is nothing new, and not unique to music you consider "good".

  • @bluescarlet11

I never took it personally man, I agree with you, even I listen to some mainstream ^^

  • @JerichoHanley Not trying to completely shoot you down or anything, I just take exception to this idea that "music back then is so much better than music now" or "more meaning" or "this band will never be recognized because of the mainstream these days..." I say this because I have seen the same complaints ALL OVER the place, from any time or genre, including what you may consider "mainstream". There has ALWAYS been a mainstream, there always will be, and there has ALWAYS been an underground.

  • @JerichoHanley totally agree with what you say with the "kids these days will never appreciate, etc" I am the only person, my age I know who likes bands like Thursday, La Dispute, Pianos Become the Teeth, Refused, etc. Its sad because so many great bands arnt getting the recognition they deserve, because popular music has taken over :(

  • @JerichoHanley DCon't doubt all kids, though. Some of us happen to like this music. Actually, love it.

  • @JerichoHanley i couldnt agree with you more.

  • this is amazing

  • the lyrics are amazing. this is so deep. it's worth the whole 12minutes. <3

  • I love this band so freaking much

  • <3

  • WE ARE BUTTLOVERS

  • 5 people press dislike button thought that's the download button.

  • 4:50 to 6:10 is by far my favourite bit, or at least the part i can relate to the most. Love this song

  • Download...common dude...buy the album, this band deserves every penny

  • lets listen to some inna gadda da vida next and make it a good straight half-hour of sweet melodies....

  • 12 minutes long, and I still don't want it to end.

  • @ClicktheQueen Agreed.

  • 9:17 and on has got to be some of the best music in History. Lyrics are phenomenal and heart felt and have so much meaning, his voice is powerful and you can hear his passion and love, the guitar riff is badass, and it overall is just phenomenal. La Dispute can do no wrong.

  • what is this song about. It makes me feel sad and happy at the same time is that bad?

  • We are butt-lovers!

  • lol @ the related artists

  • One of the only songs that can make me cry

  • This is just unreal. So good.

  • First to minutes are epic but then it just gets emo-screamoish wich sucks ass

  • My friend showed me this song a few days ago. I dont normally listen to this type of music but this band gives me hope. This song is simply amazing.

  • Beautiful music for beautiful people.

  • i'm listening to this for the first time, but, seriously.. these lyrics are so dramatically beautiful and beautifully dramatic,

    it's incredible.

  • The strongest, deepest song ever written....by the most strongest deepest band. I am so fortunate to live in this generation of music.....i'll be catching 2 of their socal shows in Nov!

  • a bible for the broken :D

  • Saw a tattoo with these lyrics. Amazing.

  • 9:10 onward is the best part in my opinion

  • hopecore? wtf do we call this awesomeness?! oh i know...La Dispute

  • these lyrics gave me fucking goose bumps..

  • I think the sickness is apathy to love after being hurt in relationships. Sometimes we enjoy making our self-pity in love last by "tearing out the sutures". Or we just give up. Hopeful lovers FTW

  • nothing can get better than this, its better than life.

  • I really love them , they are so amazing. I hope they can come in france. <3

  • Lyrics and music are awesome..but i don't like the singing style :) sorry if I offended anyone

  • Darlingcore FTW

  • Jesus christ. This is music.

  • @blockstar2013 Amen. This is hope.

  • My cousin, Jon, was murdered in April for pretecting his family. He was 21. He was amazing. He was the only thing keeping me alive. He madea saying from this song. Heads Up, Hearts Up, Hopes Up. It was the last thing he posted on facebook, twitter, tumblr, etc. He was an inspiration. It kills me every day. R.I.P Jonboy. ♥

  • @TheAngies9 Sing for all your friends and family, sing for those who didn't survive. But sing not for their final outcome, sing a song of how they tried. <3

  • If you love La Dispute, I highly suggest you listen to Touche Amore

  • @SpaceCadetification Correction :P if you love La Dispute, you should listen to Touche Amore, The Saddest Landscape, Make Do And Mend, Defeater, and Pianos Become The Teeth. Also.. should give the fathers of this music a chance, too (Pg. 99).

  • @GodBlessYouthfulness And if you like pg99 you should listen Suis la lune , Saetia , Isaïah , Circles takes the square , Orchid , Merchant ships, Et tu brutes , le pré où je suis mort. :D

  • this song is the only thing that allows me to get through my day without absolutely breaking down.

  • Pure poetry

  • I'm sorry. I might get ALOT of hate for saying this, but... I think he sucks. Like, REALLY, REALLY sucks.

  • @KagamaniaLen Prepare for the hate. I think he's wonderful.

  • @KagamaniaLen

if you don't like it, don't even waste your time saying so. just fuck off. no one cares.

  • @jaiissecretlyacat That is why I said I might get ALOT of hate. You don't have so it like that. You could just say "You didn't have to comment if you didn't like it.".

  • @KagamaniaLen

i don't recall saying i had manners. sincerely sorry i'm not your cup of tea.

  • @jaiissecretlyacat I perfer coffee. Nice talking with you.

  • @KagamaniaLen Hahaha. That was an epic comeback.

  • when every time you listen to someone one's music it's like the first time all over again, you have truly created a master piece.

  • The Lovers are one lost continent but what are the others?

I've been searching everywhere for that answer and cant find shit haha

  • Thumbs up if La Dispute changed your way of appreciating music

  • Fuck the whores of america.

  • This band, but this song in particular, reminds of me of the more ambient moments of Moss Icon.

  • This Reminds Me of My Dead Grandma...

  • hey say love never dies, but it kills people.

  • Though we're not sure who we are, we keep our heads up

though we're not sure where we're from, we keep our hearts up

though we're not sure when we'll leave, we keep our heads up

though we're not sure where we'll go, we keep our hopes up

  • we are butt lovers

  • Oh Dear God, this is what all the music of today should sound like. This is so perfect.

My friend Erik got me into La Dispute.

    So good. <3

  • PERFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECT.

  • my favorite song by them. "We are but lovers, we are the last of our kind, and if we let our hearts move outward, we will never die!" those lyrics will follow me for the rest of my life.

  • This whole album can make even the strongest man feel weak and emotional. The lyrics are so full of emotion and sadness, of the whole story on this album is true or at least relative to a true story then that would be REAALY depressing.

  • This is amazing. I don't think words can accurately describe just how much I love this song.

  • I was so blown away I had to listen to the silence at the end... I can't wait to see what these guys can do.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ITS SO PERFECT ITS TOO MUCH!!!! I'M DYING OF EMOTION THERE!!!!!!!! <3 <3

  • saddest moment of my life was at 12:07

  • Woah, after hearing this song all the way through, these guys are one of the most musically genius bands out there.

  • favourate La Dispute song! So amazing.

  • I feel bad for pirating their music...but I'm seeing them soon! So I'll buy ALL the CDs I pirated to make up for it.

    This band truly deserves it.

  • Such epicocity...Not even sure if that's a real word...But it is now :D

  • As a young boy of 21 in Wisconsin put on his last facebook status was keep your heads up. Your hearts up. And your hopes up.

    -Jonathan

  • @thehontry1biggestfan Jon was an amazingly good friend of mine, so it's nice to see that people know of him. This song kills me every time I hear it, but I keep listening to it because it reminds me of Jonboy. :]

  • And danhulud is right. Such a talented band absolutely deserves all the support they can get. Downloading their music for free when they clearly work so hard to make something different is just wrong.

  • I really hope that i will be blessed enough to see them next month. I get so into just watching their live videos. I can't imagine how it would be in person.

  • The first time i heard this song I cried. I was never touched by a song like that before. Anyone who doesn't love this band has no soul. I hate the "music" that has taken over the radios. This is real music. This makes you feel something. This is beauty in the form of sound.

  • @OrianaRaphaela I could not have said it any better.

  • And if we let our hearts move outward, we will never die.

  • @VANNAxx06

I wouldn't necessarily call La Dispute hardcore just because they like to get heavy. As for the poetry statement, I've read some of his lyrics at a reading before and got a great response

  • La Dispute has the best song writing abilities of any hardcore band. if the lyrics were read alone without music, it could easily be respected as serious poetry

  • La Dispute is the musical inspiration I was looking for. So different sounding, so meaningful.

  • 3 people take it up the ass.

  • you got a download link for this? i would love one

  • @MrIsmokebongs420 Yes, it is called iTunes.

  • why should you spend one dollar per song on itunes when you can download it for free?

  • @valicrisan2008 so the artist(s) will get what they deserve for their amazing work and so they have money to tour and go into a studio to record more of their music.. asshole. no money = no music.
