I am really speechless on this! I just finished my MBA at UMW in Virginia and the instructor I will never forget because of his professionalism, intelligence and academic methods is Dr. Chavez; an Ecuadorian who is honoring our community with his presence. By the way, he has a heavy Spanish accent, just like Albert Einstein had a heavy German accent. However, his accent was never a problem, for it was good enough to convey his experience and knowledge.

Let's not forget to preserve the German accent in America, since, according to Wikipedia, people of German ancestry represent "the country's largest self-reported ancestral group."

For those "Germans" who don't currently have a German accent, they should be granted special instruction to acquire one.

Perhaps a-hundred-or-so million in tax payer revenues can be diverted from "holocaust" education funding, since that gig seems to be winding down as people re-examine the facts.

:D OK, I love German accent so much, so it's very difficult for me to disagree with you on this issue, so I will try my best.

You are right about large number of German ancestors (Hessians) in the US population, but also I like to point out that most of German descents don't have German accent anymore. Furthermore for some reason Germans tend to lose their accent pretty quick; takes about 10 yrs. There shouldn't be any problem with Germans getting a teaching job.
