  • I swear to go if I saw them loading the horse like that I'd tell 'em how to load a horse, and if they load it the wroung way I'll load my self!

  • Personally I have to say looks like this horse was dumped. In my area the economy has effected a lot of horse owners, this horse hip bones are beginning to show, and it doesn't look at it full weight. To me i look like some "dumped" this hose. to me personally but i could be wrong.

  • 3:22

Oh look at me, this horse isn't getting in the trailer lets start hitting it. What the hell is wrong with people these days? He's going to be absolutely terrified of getting in the trailer, he's got ropes all around him, people pushing him and a stupid police man hitting him? Uhm, good luck with that one.

  • all this fucking police man are so dump. You can't push a horse. There are to many people. He is so stressed.

  • He was not going to get into that trailer if he could help it no matter what. He even kicked out at the end in protest, lol. Poor thing; it'll take one hell of a horse whisperer to fix what broke in him now - and I'm not being sarcastic.

  • i know the horse had to go to the hospital real quick, but now it will NEVER get loaded into a trailer again, without injuring or even KILLING at least one person

  • @jmdnarri Honey all im sayin is that they need to learn how to load a horse

  • this is how I load my horse every time.....*sarcasm*

  • i really am not trying to be rude, But now that poor baby is never going to get over its fear of trailer loading. These "sherrifs" need to learn how to do it right, not the quickest way. That is how horses get hurt!

  • @equineracer875 So you're saying that while there is a horse loose on the highway in a very dangerous situation, they should have sent the officers to a horse training seminar before getting the horse off the highway?? Sometimes you just have to do the best you can in a bad situation, thats what they did.

  • poor horse not his fault he didnt want to go through that again no wonder why he didnt want to go in the trailer plus he was scared & hurt obviously i hope he went somewhere safe & is well cared for & loved..forever!!!

  • 1Horsepower! woo! But, ugh. If you don't know how to load and care for a horse, you shouldn't have one.

  • You know I sometimes I get strange looks from nonhorsey people when I am talking about my horses and I have to stop and remember not everyone knows horses and they have no earthly idea what I am talking about. While this could've been handled better their main concern is getting the horse out of immediate danger and rightly so.

  • these people clearly knew nothing about horses :( poor horse :(

  • @jjahcspringer5 Yes the person towing was but all the rescuers were trying to help fairly - they may not of had a great deal of knowledge about horses but they used their common sense which helped the horse. Now Use Yours!

  • PLUS, as I noted, try to imagine a horse trainer trying to properly solve a murder case without any training or any knowledge of police work - There's probably LOTS of things that are 'common sense' to trained police officers that horse people (And 95% of the general population) would know NOTHING about, so chill - Right, wrong, or indifferent, I'm sure that the police did their best in the situation that they were presented with.

  • @ryanhunsinger It takes nothing more than common sense to know that this is not the right way to do it!

    It's just horrible to watch...

    davidthmovies 1 hour ago

Yes, you're right - It IS horrible to watch. I'm not saying they did a good job. 'How to properly get a scared horse to jump up into a trailer' may be 'common sense' to you, but it is NOT common knowledge to 95% of the population - Unless you were a 'horse person', how the heck would you know what to do in that situation??!!!!!

  • Thats just not the way to laod a traumatized horse back in, poor thing :/

  • PS: Anyone notice this gem of a quote in the title:

"no training, no standards and a complete lack of knowledge is needed before you can tow."

    Haha!

  • In all fairness to them, they prob had no idea what to do & they did their best. Before being critical, just imagine a bunch of horse trainers securing a crime scene - It'd be the same type of 'mess'.To people saying they shoulda called a vet or horse trainer, this is on an interstate, not a back road-They had no time to call/wait for anyone. Not only was it stopping traffic, it could have hurt people had it took off so they're just doing their job, fixing the road closure & protecting the people.

  • @ryanhunsinger It takes nothing more than common sense to know that this is not the right way to do it!

    It's just horrible to watch...

  • Arm lock behind the horse instead of a butt rope works almost 100% of the time. Those full grown men were scared to death to go near that horse like he had a deadly contagious virus. They should have called people into help with more experience with horses.

  • Poor baby!!! That is horrible!! How the hell does a horse fall out of a trailer and the owner not even notice? My god... When I'm hauling horses I'm like, constantly checking my mirrors... making stops to check on them...

Obviously this horse is going to be terrified... why was a vet not there to sedate him? Stupid Stupid people.

  • I have read about people leaving the top half of the doors open on their trailers and their horses jumping out after being spooked.

  • COME ON!! Poor horse, its a freaking step up and there blind folding him?!. If the owners were responsible they would put the proper head gear on him ( halter leadrope) take the blind fold off and coax him in.

  • You call a Horse Vet.... and THEY call for PROPER help..... oh well.....

  • It's horrible the way they had to load him but it may have been necessary. If they didn't get him loaded and he took off again, he could get himself killed or other drivers. Secondly, it's possible that he may not have been handled alot. I have met alot of horses that are happy around people and halter broke, but don't really know what to do. While sedating him might have helped, it may have also put him on the ground (especially after the trama he just went through falling out of the trailer).

  • omg what a fucking idiots!!!! how could they do that to a horse? that horse must be terrified!!! i don't like how the put him in. they should have given him something against the pain and just something to calm him a little but like this, that is just horse abuse!

  • @123rianne1994 To be fair, They're police, no horse people >< I see totally where you come from, Something similar happend to my mum and her horse, lucily they were ok, but thing is, the police did everything they could to get the horse off the highway and somewhere safe <3

  • Idiots. thats all i can say.

  • i dont like how they reloaded him, but i geuss they had to get him off the high way

  • @laurenoc101 I don't mean to correct you, but because of the dip in the horses back, and the higher whithers, we must assume the horse is older. About 15 or up maybe?

  • Awwww!!!!!! It doesn't look much older than a yearling or two year old!! He must have been scared to death!!!

  • AND he got severely injured when he fell OUT of the first trailer....I sure understand his terror over hopping in another one.

I'd say he's a candidate for a professional trainer to re-start him loading again. That whole routine was NOT the way to handle a terrified injured horse. :(

    He's gonna need a therapist......

  • Take the damn blindflold off so the poor horse can actually see to step up in the trailer! If it still refuses to load then get the ropes out.

  • pooor thing, the people didnt look like they new what they were doing, poor thing !

  • Apparently, this horse is destined to suffer from asshats. I could've had that horse loaded easy, even if he was afraid of the trailer. Poor horse :(

  • well done just blindfold it adn expect it to know theres as tep infront of it GENEUS!

  • THat poor horse!!! how could people be so cruel sick!!! hope hes okay now though and whoever responsbile brought to justice!!.

  • you fuck faces that poor thing

  • good grief, is there no one in that group that knows how to load a terrified horse?

  • O.o OMG! So stupid, horrible! At 3:23 That guy with rope/lasso..I would slap his face. >:( Where is the vet?? :/

  • OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! I-I don't know what to say?

  • I can't believe people are driving next to it and passing the horse, and honking their horns! It's like they're trying to run it to death. And I don't even know what the people with the trailer think they are doing. All the people in this video seem to be trying to kill him :(

  • poor horse... a proper halter on that animal and it woulda went in without all that crap...i hope he has a good home now!! does anyone know who owns it now??

  • holy bejeesus. how stupid are you. if the horse doesn't get in the trailer the first time, they aren't going to get in any other time. it should have been walked to safety, not put into a trailer. horses are flight animals, and putting it back inside the thing that it thinks just tried to kill it is not a good idea.

  • They could have broken the horses' neck or legs!!!! Stupid people:(

  • Horrible, but at least he survived, the poor horse on Grandview Rd in Arlington,Wa, his owner continued to drag him 3 miles until he basically fell apart in agony.

  • the pooy guy is like, "i am NOT getting back on there!!!"

  • when an animal suffers a stress like that you cant just expect them to get over shock r force them- you need patience and kindness and to think like a horse- be a leader assure him its OK

  • why doesnt anyone stop ro call the cops or humane society?

  • Poor thing. He's terrified to go back into the trailer. Doesn't look like the cops that were trying to get him back in really knew horses very well. Honestly, give him some bute for pain and to zone him out for a while and THEN try to load him. He would have been much more relaxed and probably more willing to go into the trailer.

  • Wow that trailer loading was so effective!!! Not. Now he is gonna be scared to death to even look at one. Its a cave on wheels to him! But, I guess in a situation like that, it is the only quick way to do it on the highway.

  • @4HHorse93 i agree with you, but you have to see the other side too, the poeple loading it prob didnt really know what they were doing, and there is also the saftey of not only the horse but everyone driving on the highway. Perhaps sadating the horse to load it and take it away from the road then work with it might have been a better idea?

  • poor horse:(

  • I will be doing a FIOA to find out!!! The person towing the trailer never came back...nobody knows who's horse it is!!!

  • @Melancon64 how do you know it even "fell out" of a trailer then, maybe it ran from a nearby stable.

  • @Melancon64 so what hapened to the horse?

  • i cannot believe the NERVE of those people!!! the horse falls out of a trailer, gets all cut up and injured, and they expect it to go back in ??? seriously would you?? and how they forced that poor horse in !? thats abuse! people should learn how to drive their trailers!!

  • How would you have handled it? That horse is in the middle of a huge city on a highway and went through a traumatic situation that could have killed him. They have to get him out of there, what do want them to do, walk a hurt horse many miles in the city? It is going to take more than a little sweet coaxing or even a few hours to get that horse ok with a trailer again - they don't have the time, tools, or ability in that situation. They did what they could to keep him safe and get him to safety.

  • i agree that you have a point. i just can't stand to see a horse suffer, but maybe they could have drugged him first? would have made it much easier...sorry, i just sometimes have rants about stuff i feel strongly about, and then stop to think about it

  • drugging wouldn;t have helped the situation if anything it could have made it alot worse.

Its horrible what happened to the horse, but they did do the right thing in getting him/her back into a trailer after all they couldn;t just lead an exhausted spooked animal down the hwyway who knows how far to were they would take it.

Sometimes tough love is needed even when you don't think so. Its hard an you want so bad to take it slow an baby them but sometimes you just gotta get it done.

  • yes i guess so...that horse needs sunny pastures after that!

  • i fully agree, sunny pastures, an all the apples an carrots he can stand!

  • how did it fall out of the trailer?!

  • THAT POOR CREATURE!!! What is wrong with PEOPLE!
