much as i love this video, I really miss the original, which I think is one of the coolest videos ever, where they drive up to the drummer, and then leave him
Michael Hutchence was truly amazing, if Jim Morrison were to have come back to life in the 80's it would have been Michael. i have never seen a frontman that moved exactly like Jim Morrison did and perform like he did too on stage. so sad that he died so young at 37 though. so much God given talent. He will be truly missed but his music and memory and amazing abilities live on..............forever
This was 80s in a nutshell.. this band was influencial through the entire 80s from start to finish.. they are the doors of the 80s in my opinion because i love the Doors and inxs.
I'm biased. Since I was 17 in 1982, the music of that decade was amazing. Simple, fast, fun. INXS rocked during the 80's. The death of Micheal, although the band's time had essentially passed, was very sad. RIP Micheal.
Oh how I love this song! And INXS! This band rocked the 80's and Michael stole all us ladies hearts with not only his handsome looks but his charm. He could charm us all onstage and in the videos. His smile stole my heart for sure! :-D I dont think I had a bare wall back in my teen days that didnt have a poster of Michael or INXS on it. I wore out so many cassettes of them back then and never missed a video! My heart broke the day we lost Michael. What a real tragedy all around. RIP Michael. ♥
Classic INXS song, and one of my all-time favourites!! With regard to caring for the Earth, however(and this is just mo, we can't use the excuse nowadays, but otherwise, classic!!
Their first ever single was titled "Simple Simon" and it was off the self titled album "INXS" released in 1980.
Simon Townsend ("Simon Townsend's Wonderworld" - a kid's afternoon tv show on TEN Network Sydney Australia) assisted them by creating a video clip played on the show. It was taped at the Sydney Cricket Ground and consisted the band members running around with Simon Townsend's dog (Woodrow the bloodhound) and holding photos of Simon Townsend.
Well it appears there are no comments thus far so let this one be the first...What a GREAT song and it is so cool to see footage of the band so early on....thanks so much for posting!!!
I'm a good friend of Inxs'. I agree that this is my favorite of all of their songs. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of them... I'm glad that you're still listening.
