Did I read that right? Underprepped car. SM Spec Miata has to use same engine/chassis.You used a 99 1.8L/91 Chassis that uses a 1.6L SM is limited to 15x7 wheels, you used 15x8, SM is limited to 100 UTQG tires, you used Hoosier R6 UTQG 40. You had a big advantage and 6 second slower. You will need a better driver & more than a SC to win a RTA or SLB to win. A Turbo & ITB has done it multiple times. Are you afraid that people will see the results. Have some confindence.

Just curious why you are avoiding the RTA. Are you scared to run the RTA. Yes that and the SLB is the ultimate Time Attack events. Everyone knows that. Maybe you don't understand what a Time Attack is. The fastest cars get out there and the fastest times win.

Evasive S2K is more than welcome to go up against the NSX and try to beat it. Enter a RTA event and see if you can compete with well prepped cars, and not kids on a shoestring budget.

RTA result does prove who's fastest. Try to win 1.

The million dollar question is? Are we going to see the Rotrex powered Miata in the REDLINE Time Attack in March or the SLB in November?

Can 210 lbs. make up the difference? It would be great to see. A6 is legal in Redline and the S2K does a 1:46 & NSX a 1:45. No Miata has entered unlimited that I am aware of. So being on NT-01's will give you a better chance to top 3. I want to see a Miata challenge Miata win a RTA event before saying the fastest Miata's do the Miata challenge.

$20 question is who are you Mr anonymous, mutiple user IDs. I know everyone in the Miata TT world and in this thread personally but you hide. What qualifies you to make assessments on anything related to Miatas?

Every kid thinks that RTA results prove something. Does it matter that FXMD's 600whp NSX isn't really faster than Evasive's 290whp S2K? Does it matter that the 2008 AWD "street" class winner had no roll bar and a $40K race engine in a $125K car? I just don't see the worship material.

Just want to see if any Miata tuner/shop in California can compete at Buttonwillow in the Redline Time Attack in March on NT-01's? Outside of California I highly doubt it but a good showing at BWCW13 would gain respect. Man if I was a Miata tuner/shop calling my Miata a Time attack car I would have entered last year. I hope to see it there. Please encourage them all. You're getting there and I respect that. Cheers.

Turbo FTW. Matt's Turbo Miata on NT-01's does a 1:55. The Rotrex Supercharger is still at a slow 1:58 on the same tires so I do not expect to see them at the Redline TA in March. Running Hoosiers when no one else is is cheating IMO.

In the Rotrex car's defense, he's only at 230whp and Matt's somewhere between 300 and 350whp, which is a feat in itself.

Also, unless there's a rule dictating tire limitations, especially for lap records, then anything's fair game. If anything, I'm curious to see Matt drive on Hoosiers. It should be easy with those for Matt to beat 1:54.471.

Actually 1:56.2 with 230whp, 2240lb car (210 lbs heavier than Matt's car) on NT01's with the Kraftwerks Rotrex Supercharger. 1:54.4 on faster A6 tires which are legal in Miata Challenge unlimited where the fastest Time Attack Miatas all are.

Nice Job! Sub 2 minutes is good and I'm sure you'll improve. Any chance any of the Miata's will be there for the Redline Time Attack in March at this same track?

Just for reference the n/a S2000 in Mod. NT-01 tires does a 1:54.8 2 years ago and the Unlimited S2000 does a 1:46. So with the Hoosiers Miata's have to run 1:46 to compete and 1:45 to win. S2000 on street tires does a 1:56.
