to france and moonlight shadow are beautiful songs!! i m not a mike oldfield big fan but i like his works!! as i like islands the bonnie tyler duet with him!!! but thank you very much to shared it on youtube!!!! i was bad this morning but now i feel good!!! thanks a lot and take care!! yoan from france
The most amazing with Mike Oldfield is, he invent kind of "Digitech Whammy" before those gears was invented ^^ .
He usually record a lot of instruments, slowly with the tape recorder and speed up the tape for having this realy unusual high sharp tone on electric guitar and synth sound. check the making of "Blue Peter"
Hi, I supposed it's the vinyl we can hear, maybe you are aware of it but it's turning a bit too fast, the right speed is a bit slower but this is still cool, thanks so much!
I'll be perfectly honest. I found this song by the Blind Guardian cover, which I think they do this song justice. This is also a beautiful original and I have to give credit to Mike Oldfield for this
I wanted to share this Mike Oldfield'song because there wasn't on youtube. If you have not realized I shared the song I have not done any video. Jackass ! (Sumeri !)
Lovely classic song

This album version is better than the single one : more folk, more electro, more esoteric and also slightly faster than the single version.

There is another version with bagpipes instead of the guitar instrument.
But I can't find it anywhere!

It's videos like this, that add value to the immense Mike Oldfield career archive.
Many thanks for sharing the (in my opinion) pretty rare Extended version to To France with us.
I agree with Jan Simmes; I too have never heard that version before.
Greetings from Schiedam, Holland.
