It has to be said. The only reason why this song doesn't rise to the level of greatness is the awful vocals. Imagine if Trey Azagoth, Chris Barnes, or Kam Lee got their hands on this song. This is a good song, but I have to disagree about hair length. Everyone knows the true hair length of metalheads should be long. Shaved heads are ok but remember shaving one's head originally came from punk, not metal. Most metal bands' members have long hair. In fact, the shaved head thing seems to only apply to some people in death metal bands. Why does no one in black metal shave their hair? Maybe they are "truer", no offence. :)

But this is a good brutal death metal song anyway. :)

it's easier because once you get the technique down, you can pick far faster that way than you could with all downstrokes. It's hard to get the hang of at first, but then it becomes like second nature. ;)

Yea, i'm starting to notice, the down and upstroking is easier than the fingers on the fretboard. That's still the hardest thing. The down and up stroking is still hard when i have to play on another string suddenly.

after practice, as I said it'll become second nature. I too thought changing strings was a challenge, but now I rip through the guitar doing alternate picking without even realizing it half the time (Alternate Picking is the term for using both upstrokes and downstrokes ;))
