Since when is the GTR a luxury car? This is a huge luxury sedan with features the GTR could only dream of. It's so much heavier than the GTR that it would be embarrassing for the GTR to handle worse. And it handles only slightly better.

i have had the opportunity to really drive the hell out of both the S65 AMG and the B7 and i would definately prefer the BMW, and not only because the tranny in the Benz went out, but because it is smaller and more fun to toss around. you can definately tell at speed when turning that the benz is a long car. both fast as hell. but the bimmer is better, and i-drive is easier than mercedes's kinda almost i-drive thing with the buttons u still have to use for menu's. i-drive is all in one,& easy

you can't compare this car to the S65 AMG, because that is just insulting for BMW... This car is a beauty, not that the merc is ugly or anything but i'd rather have this on the basis that it is faster, after the 155 peak anyways, because this is de-restricted and it is considerably cheaper!

Ok, the Alpina retails for about $160,000 in Canada. The S65AMG cost 220,000. There is a huge price difference in these 2 models, so you can't really compare them.

well the S65 is just a lot of power and money not so much track performance, and don't quote me on this but I do think the s-class is a lot larger and longer, I don't know why Mercedes has this horsepower war but the s65 or the s63 are not as good as the alpina in my opinion, not to mention their just kind of im rich cars, not like im rich and im fast and awesome looking like the 7 series.
