First off the engine needs to be removed then spray a light oil in the carb. ket it soak it should unseize once loose spray wd 40 in carb and rotate engine.The box on the back is a mechanical gyro it works ok but has slower response tine than the digital one that you were talking about,if you are going with a digital reciever you may want to get digi.. servos to keep up with the reciever for better response.don't forget to install new reciever batteries.I think you will be ok.Nice heli.
no the engine is not ceased its just the strong belt but if it is put oil all down the muffler till it comes out the carb at full throttle(engine off) then rotate the piston then add glow fuel about 15% nitro should be perfect then try run it the oil should be about 30% caster oil fuel mix
First i'd check the availability and prices on parts before you attempt to fly it as it is a old heli and in the worst event....a crash,then it may prove difficult to fix.If thie parts are cheap and readily available than you wanttTo be safe and strip it down and check everything for wear,threadlock etc.Plus you may want a 7 channel reciever incase you want a governor as jasmine2501 has already pointed out.
That's a nice size heli. Nitro cars I can help you with, nitro heli's I am as lost as you are. :-)
Btw, what's with the cigarette? Your a nurse you should know better. My wife in an Oncology nurse, do I need to have her call and tell you some heartbreaking horror stories? XD

It looks nice. I would use the AR7000 on that, in case you want to run a governor. Otherwise you could use the AR6200, which I use on my Trex 500.
