  • high intensity workouts, low volume=great gains! Since I have started working out like Yates (ie 1-2 warm-up sets and 1 working set) I have seen the most gains I have experienced. my split: legs, chest/back, shoulders/bis/tris. take a rest day between doing 30mins of cardio for 130-140 bpm. Eat well. There is no bleaping way you will not gain. Forget the 20-30 set workouts. 8-10 the most (including warmups), 2-3 exercises. Of course I am talking about natural, no roids

  • @Apoldelyne891 i kinda agree witchyu there, but on excersizes like deadlifts and shrugs i have to use straps to hit that body part hard, but when i warm up i never use them, hopefully i can obtain a nice veiny/joocy forearm

  • This is what the gym work out is all about...just get the job done...kick ass in the gym...that mean no talking/ no i-pod/ and get your ass off the cell phone...can you talk in the lobby or your car...or just stay at home

  • What's amazing to me, is the different training styles used by the pros. U watch jay and Ronnie train and they look like they're not even doing full ranges of motion. Branch almost has a sloppy style. But in the end all they're physiques are phenomenal.

  • Pay attention at 2:20. He is FIGHTING the negative portion of the repetition. I've been training for quite some time, and I have just recently learned of the importance of the negative portion of the rep. A recent Dorian Yates training video reminded the viewer that "The negative is just as important as the positive." It's easy to forget that in something like biceps training, but it obviously worked for the legend that is Dorian Yates.

    Countless lifters, including myself, have been injured from training. I'm not anywhere NEAR Mr. Yate's level, but injuries are part of the territory, unfortunately. I don't know many weight lifters with any experience and strength who have gone decades injury free. Dorian was a world class athlete because of his training style; it gave him incredible size. Assuming one can be injury free for 20 years while lifting heavy weights hints at a lack of experience.

  • @PattyCakesahoy he got injured because he didnt follow his own advice, he trained with his "normal" weights on a restrictive diet trying. instead he should of lowered them a bit, but because he always gave 110% he trained with the same heavy weights

  • After watching jay cutler, and numerous vids on new bodybuilding, coming to these sets of retro vids just brings me so much joy, this style, the clothes, the old ratty weights, you don't need no hyper accelerated balanced shoes, or underarmour shit, nor a gym with the latest equipment, you need heart, determination, and raw fucking weight. I wish this was still the style, raw, powerful, instead of that new goody good shit. LIVE ON DORIAN, YOU DA MAN!!!
