yo, sorry didn't realise i had a comment lol. ur doin it this year? cool. that car looked like a heap and was creaky as hell but after we got to prague we stayed there a few days then drove to Amsterdam stayed there a couple days and then drove home! couldn't believe it made it. right laugh. hmm.....tips. well for a start the big tip would be that ours was a DIESEL and that was cheaper than petrol. err...dont worry too much about stuff...we didnt pre book any accommodation
and none of us knew anything about mechanics...plenty of ppl on the rally know way too much so thats not a problem. These are awful tips....err.....oh tip! we checked all the countries we would drive through and found all the road laws out....switzerland for example is very strict about speed etc. On the last day people started trashing the cars..crashing into eachother etc..have fun but many of us whose cars were pretty battered got turned away from the main Czech Rep. border on the big road in

Some guys we spoke to stopped for half hour and bodged their car to look presentable and got in eventually. I'd only worry about pre-booking accomodation in italy - the night before the Stelvio. you wanna get somewhere comfy it could be your last night ever lol. (Maybe switz as well) Definitely go out in Bormio it was heavy night when we went!! Most important tip:- film it! Have fun.Peace
