Man I saw them live in Sacramento last night opening for Slipknot. I left on the second song of Slipknot cus they were so terrible it hurt! but Coheed was fucking amazing!!

I agree with Travis winning but I disagree with how you said Claudio plays much cooler guitar parts. Claudio normally plays the more simple riffs as he sings while he plays and Travis plays the lead harmonies over it.

the back up singers are good i like them..you can barely tell that they are there half of the time when you see them live but it sucks because the reason i think they got backup singers is because i think claud might be losing his voice...prob from smokin, and if acid reflex has anything to do with it...i mean if you watch them at that concert in norway he breathes alot...i just hope he doesnt lose his voice...i could be totally wrong..but thats just what i think.

its more to flesh out all the harmonies on the albums than him losing his voice. If you listen closely, you can tell that claudio has actually recorded his parts 2-3 times in harmony with himself in order to have the vocal line sound really full and rich. Ive always though that they sounded kind of empty live because of this, but now that they have backups, it sounds much better, even if they could have gotten better ones...

you should have seen them on the tour they went on during spring/summer of 06...claudio was freaking beefy. he just looked like a big bear lol...with the hair and his roundness. Im sure hes pretty jacked too though. just a big guy with a big figure in general.

Yes the backup singers are not that great but if you didnt know Claudio is getting older just turned 30 and he has acid relex so he might use them for voice support on very high pitch vocals,trust me i would rather seem him sing only Fav band seen them 4 times but just wanted to voice my opinion on the back up singers.

Those backup singers sound horrible :S Completely killing the Coheed sound... I'd prefer Claudio's voice any time, even though he can't always hit the high notes. That rather than two female singers, who don't fit hat band at all. I know it's probably got something to do with Claudio suffering from acid reflux, but still... It makes me not want to listen to it. Don't get me wrong - I'm a hardcore Coheed fan, but that was just shit IMO.
