  • No need for that mask Di Nero, everyone knows your voice.

  • Vincent Hanna camping...

  • Headshot!? Counter-terrorist win! :))

  • HEADSHOT!!!

  • Why does this remind me of Payday The Heist?

  • 6:09 - haha serves him right! :D

  • 8:14 ahahaha :D

  • why are these cops risking civilian lives by shooting through a mall parking , it's just money , im sure people are worth much more... it's their job but their priority is protecting

  • @Meeru141 not much you can do, it's hollywood haha

  • @mattmagbanua7 yep :D but i'm saying they shoulda made the movie realistic, of course the people are volounteers or people payed to be on the scene !

  • @Meeru141 Because they were fired on first. When these guys started unloading hundreds of rounds of fully automatic fire into the open area, filled with civilians, there was a greater chance of a civilian being killed by their loose fire than that of the fire required to neutralise the threat.

  • @Meeru141 Unfortunately no, cops and the establishment would protect the money and the wealthy who own it FIRST before lives of ordinary joes like u and me.

  • Cops wouldn't have had a chance against these guys. We all know cops can't shoot for shit and this crew doesn't give a shit about collateral. Rock & roll. They win.

  • 8:48 underwear. :DD

  • sound effect is brilliant !

  • Val was incredibly quick to react, none of that Hollywood "stare at each other for 30 seconds" or flipping views back and forth

  • Headshot made me laugh, and reminded me of many lost but fun hours in the old days... perfect placement.

  • This is when Battlefield 3's graphics meets PAYDAY: The Heist's gameplay on a difficulty greater than OVERKILL.

  • It's all production sound as well - no after editing, Michael Mann wanted the original sound. The fire and move portions were actually done under the instruction of an ex British SAS operative.

  • Love Di Neros Work

  • 8:45 hahaha

  • Val reloaded once in 5 min , 30 round mag ? haha

  • @AussieV8tassie you can also see he reloaded at 3:45 when the camera focuses on Robert Di Niro

  • lose the editing a shit music bro, and get rid of that head shot kak at the end ruined one of the best shoot out ever

  • @tzadrake Too bad for you, this video is a year old, there are many other versions of this video you could have watched

  • Best movie i have ever Watched.

Michael Mann always has the best shootout scenes in hollywood, he is the most professional director about guns and combat effects..and also sociology...

You can see the same gun battle quality in, Collateral and Miami Vice too.

But he didnt make any serious movies like heat and collateral at these days...

Because most of idiots dont like those kind of movies, this is heavy for them..

So i am waiting for Frankie Machine....

  • ACE

I cannot think of any shootout in any film to rival this.

    Pure action

  • @llandudnoboy hmmm the final shootout in scarface was pretty intense too

  • Wow. You know, for an armed bank robber, that man was actually wuite kind and considerate.

  • @Cerberusballs I agree, there's no point being aggressive when the situation doesn't call for it especially because the people do have families

  • @Cerberusballs yea they jsut wanted the money its easier to escape with that cash and no victims hard if you kill hostages and police :)

  • Whats the intro song?

  • @seekersix Troops Of Doom by Sepultura

  • @mattmagbanua7 Brilliant. Cheers. Kudos on the video. It's ffuking epic. Heat is in my top 3 films of all time. And this song is rockin!

  • wow, unlimited ammo

  • 8:46 HEADSHOT! , like SOF2... lol

  • id want to see them how they would shoot with lag.?

  • Val Kilmers reload at 5.06.

I`ve heard that Army small arms instructors often show that clip to new recruits with the warning

"If you cant do a reload as quick as that pussy actor I`ll do .....(insert threat here)

  • @ajb7876 yeah, and also considering that the vest they wore, the magazines weren't ergonomically placed for the best and or fasted reloads, so for val kilmer to get his weapon back up that quick is pretty impressive

  • Fark, this is like WW3.

    Awesome surround sound.

  • @666husar because now all that matters for people in movies are effects ;/

  • What´s the movie?

  • HEAD SHOOOT

  • Best movie ever.

  • 2 men got influenced by this movie and did the exact same things that were in the movie it was one of the gr8st shootouts in hollywood check its video on youtube

  • @imkoolforu I explain this is the description, most people know that fun fact

  • Comment removed

  • this shootouts is truly fucking cool, but it wont happen in real life as the police wont do such thing that can put innocent people in danger

  • @SuperBreak100 it's Hollywood man

  • @mattmagbanua7 hey i thought it's Bollywood man

  • MOVIE SHOOTOUT EVER

  • This shootout on surround sound...... damn

  • @ohlsen1973 agreed, my dad does it all the time, really loud too haha

  • BEST SHOOT OUT EVER!!!!

  • Heat is one of the greatest movies of all times

  • another day in south central LA.

  • first world bank ;)

  • @TH3L1B3R4T10N First world bank followed by heat street.......;o)

  • GTA 4 Much?

  • @Micahart999 This movie came out in 1995, so yeah that one GTA4 mission was inspired by this

  • @5:18 dude's hiding behind a volvo.... yeah he'll live

  • haha i love how they barely ever reload....

  • so cool! might have to watch that again :)

  • FUCKING GREAT FILM!

  • @DrugPoznan hell yeah!

  • before val kilmer became a beached whale...

  • "Headshot" LOL

  • "THE BEST USE OF BLANKS IN A MOVIE SHOOTOUT EVER!" ??? As oppose to ... ... using blanks for something else ??? Surely you mean "The MOST number of blanks in a movie shootout"?

  • @cavanalan no its the best use of blanks for a Hollywood shootout in my opinion cuz they wanted the real sound over the generic gunfire sounds in most action movies

  • Oh ? !

  • @cavanalan Actually all live amo was used in the filming of this

  • @TheKenfig Live ammo was used on the setup but when it came to filming on the streets they obviously used blanks.

  • @MultiJone123 No because there were bullett holes in all the cars and that man Ted Levine with the moustache got hurt

  • hahahahaha reckless shooting at 4 robbers with countless civilians running around and in the middle ..gotta love the 90's hahahahh

  • @ADCVirgo shit i know right, on the criminals side it looks fine that they're suppressing both ends with automatic fire, but on the cops end, they're basically shooting at each other or atleast they risk shooting at each other, but either way the scene looks good even though its a 90's movie haha

  • @mattmagbanua7 yeah great movie I have it haha

  • @mattmagbanua7 Its just hard to find anything better, almost any other shootout scene is some silly John Woo or Matrix wannabe :P

  • I was thinking to rob banks after playing gta 4 then I saw this video *snap* back to reality!

  • The actors were actually trained by British special forces during the production of this movie. They taught them how to manuevere and cover each other during a firefight

  • "Hey man, he was gonna make a move, I had to get it on!" Wham, Wham, Wham!" Pay this piece of shit!"

  • besttttttttttttttttttt

  • Val Kilmer , DeNiro were looking as they are army trained and police as street robbers ...

  • i wish they succeded the robbery but no the cops got tipped off lol !

  • @ginbelg2 then why did you watch this video then if you didn't watch the full movie yet? You should have known watching movie clips on youtube would bring you some sort of spoiler.

  • @ginbelg2 LOL you're an idiot

  • the negro die primero

  • these rifles have an awesome sound !! X_X

  • Definately a great scene, the only thing that wasn't totally realistic is the fact that they are firing CAR-15's fully automatic for extended period and they show no signs of overheating, which in reality they would. The blanks and projectile effects on the vehicles etc look very realistic indeed.

  • @2ndAsstJizzMopper good job ruining the videos record of having 50+ likes and 0 dislikes you stupid fuck, by the way the audio is fine, it must be your shitty ass computer speakers

  • @2ndAsstJizzMopper thanks for disliking, by the way how is the audio messed up? Because it sounds loud? it's suppose to be loud plus the format i saved it in was HD

  • former SAS bloke advising with the shoot and move tactics, velcroed or taped mag carriers-------very very high speed and low drag if you ask me!!!!

  • This happened last night in Amsterdam !

  • HEADSHOT!

  • This is how Britain's Special Air Service would rob a bank, all played out by Hollywood actors

  • hey does anyone get the feeling this robbery is very similar to the one from public enemies (john dillinger story)

  • Michael Mann's shoot out scenes are awesome, he refuses to redub the gunfire on a sound stage, he also made sure that Deniro and Kilmer were trained with military precision with regard to suppress and move techniques to evade the cop car barricade, also Kilmers reload technique.

If you want another short example of his genius check out Tom Cruise in the "Yo homie, is that my briefcase?" scene in Collateral. It's on youtube too.

  • this and The Town had the best bank robbery shootout scenes of all time!

  • If it were not for the sound effects of the shootout with the loud gunfire echoing off the office building walls, it would just be another Hollywood made shootout! There were pretty good gun shootout scenes also in the movie "Ronin" with Robert De Niro.

  • @newalm hell yea thats another good movie too

  • @newalm Swedish sound editor Per Hallberg gave this scene it's greatness. He has several Oscar nominations, and was rewarded with the statue for his work with Braveheart.

  • @newalm This is the only movie shootout I've seen where the guns sound convincingly loud, and the echoing canyons of the city streets help that a hell of a lot. Plus the way they move, with military tactics- It's all feels real.

  • @Nothefaceyoubitch havent you seen public enemies??

  • @newalm i agree...these effects were right on...NOTHING is chessier then those fake sound effects mimicing gunfire...they actually have the actors RELOAD thier wepons too!! Not that load on sunday and shoot all day on monday shit.

  • Comment removed

  • @newalm i agree...the director had them train in military fashion..with help from some military movie leasion...just like The movie COLLATERAL with Tom Cruise

  • What makes this shootout so great is the sound of the gunfire echoing of the building walls.

  • i wanted this robbery to succeed so bad ;(

  • @SunriseFestival Yeah it was executed so clean but unfortunately, for story reasons, the police had to get tipped off lol

  • haha me too

  • Val Kilmer magazine change...top of the tops

  • Heat is to shootouts what Bullitt is to car chases.

  • @SIMKINETICS Fucking-A-Right haha

  • Probably the best movie shootout in history.

  • hahah headshot!

  • LOL!!!

  • Hey guys check out the other HEAT movie clip I uploaded, this time they're robbing and armored car.

  • check this "how was made" watch?v=gW0yebyGk-8&

  • they use LIVE ammunition only on shooting range where they reconstruct all city and practice every scene. They close this part of city few times every weekend and put everything in the same place to film again. They used on street blanks. And yes - audio was totally edited to make great atmosphere of real robbery and shooting

  • This Scene is so fucking Load. I Love HEAT <3

  • awsome score for this scene

  • @ridlazz921 yea haha i sound boosted the vid while i was editing it, thanks for watching

  • @larryphillipsjr87 and you expect me to believe that? they were filming on a closed public street, where do you think those bullets were gonna go at the end of the street.

  • @mattmagbanua7 AH yes. You're right. I was mistaken. Sorry :)

  • @larryphillipsjr87 Im sry to offend u dude but this was truely blanks! they would not be authorize to use live ammunition in a public street!

  • @larryphillipsjr87 i belive they used real bullet.

listen to the fucking sound, awsome. its a realism to the way they are shooting whit the gun that i havent seen in any other movies

  • @ridlazz921 good old movie magic, they have this electric pads on the inside of the cars, that explode to make the bullet holes, but im not sure how they do it for the windows, im sure its something similar

  • @larryphillipsjr87 When they say real they mean real blanks made from real shells(no projectile)crimped end as the army use. They say real because in the movies they usualy run around going bang bang and then sound and muzel flash added later. Please tell me your a child.

  • @larryphillipsjr87 dont talk shit, its a movie, there`s no way on earth they would use real ammo

  • @larryphillipsjr87

You have just got to be either american, or a child.

    "they used real bullets" LMAO.

  • @larryphillipsjr87 lol u dumbass

  • @larryphillipsjr87 Let me set you straight. Michael Mann said that the principal cast TRAINED at theOrange County Sheriff's shooting range with LIVE rounds so they could really get a feel for those automatic weapons, which by the way, are real. For the FILMING, they used blanks with maximum loads. In addition to that, the sounds of gunfire is not dubbed or enhanced. They used the actual sounds of gunfire as it was recorded as they filmed. See what I'm talking about: watch?v=gW0yebyGk-8

  • one word ....FUCKIN HELL!!!! ok thats 2..but i own this movie..and i piss my gf off with it on technics amp..lol..she hates me...but omfg..this scene is the best ever shoot out in a movie i ever did see..thanks for upload matt..fuckin awesome mate
