    the post office is federal so when you mail the document or cd to yourself etc.

    the post office stamps it with a Date

    when you get it back never open it so if you need to go to court or seek some kind of legal matter towards it

    bring that package/envelope

    this will prove you had the material before someone else

    it's totally legit

    just know what you have inside
