I knew this covers since uff since they were available from a bad religion's fan website. I really have to say i prefer yout version rather than bad religions piano version...
Just covered this one myself too, but you're the best. :D this vesion is unbeatable. (Singers voice is just like Szabolcs Zsengellér's... who knows... europe is small :D)
This is beautiful. Greg talks about how all of the BR songs can be slowed down to folk rock (see his solo albums, and I'm sure you have as have I) but this is it taken to a different level. We all know they're awesome when played at tempo, but when you take a step back, they have a beauty all their own. Thanks for bringing it out.
i just got your 1000 more fools cover on mp3, hadnt listened to any of your other work though, but holy shit man this is honestly extremely impressive ^_^ you need a source us peoples can download your work off of.
Listened 1000 times, 1000 times loved it. I gotta say this: your version it´s better than that the ona that BR put in the N.M.O.H. Deluxe. honestly. Call me crazy. Regards from Buenos aires
very nice cover :) but why can i not find like a cd quality version anywhere :( dont get me wrong i love acoustic but i just like the non acoustic version better :)
Bad Religions lyric's are always deep and meaningful, That's what makes them so Unique in my opinion. I'd love to watch them perform live! Even tho i prefer the original, this cover actually 'touched' me. Good work!
sorry mate , i dont have the music, i just figured the chords out by ear and then worked out some piano lines and parts that i felt fit the song. To be honest ive totally forgotten what i played now, sorry im not much help
Years ago I listened to your covers, and definitly this was my favorite one!(well, I also love to another abyss) I also like one song called "Strachan" (is that the real name of the song? I suposed you know which one i'm talking about ñ_ñ)
Sorry mate, I just got the chords by ear and then worked out a part to go along with the vocals, it was years ago we did it now and i have no clue what I played etc. To be honest as soon as i've recorded the parts to any of the songs i tend to forget what I did.
Yeah, when I first heard the new tracks on New Maps of Hell I was shocked to hear Skyscraper, can't get a much bigger complament than that if you're these guys
5 stars dude, just a suggestion - try sthing like what u did in 'the answer', your voice works better with lower singing, here it sounds a bit like simple plan hehe, other than that is perfect, really great
gray race kicks you in the nuts. BTW, even I LOVE skyscraper, I think recipe for hate is a shitty album, and greg's compositions in that album are SIMPLY FUCKING AWESOME.
Hey this debate you were having on your favourite BR albums inspired me to make a video on it - check it out it's the best i could do to put them in any sort of order.

Philosophy**(that's how we spell it where I come from; you may spell it differently where you come from). Indeed, Greg's lyrics are fantastic, at times. How good is the lyric to Inner Logic, for instance? It's Brilliant.
Now, that I've listened to this again, I must say: really impressive, boys!
it doesn't have to sound like everyone else's version of punk to be punk. Punk is an attitude, these lyrics stand for themselves as an anthem. Reminds me of MTV unplugged, lol!
Anyone who hates on this because its not "punk rock" needs to shove it. This is my favorite Bad Religion song and I absolutely love the piano and vocal style of this version. My only request is that you guys do "In So Many Ways" and "Sorrow." Keep up the awesome music guys!
Thanks for the nice comment mate. I would love to hear your band and you're cover of Lost Pilgrim. It would be great if you could post it up on you tube :) Cheers again

Bad Religion plays to fast for how good their lyrics. Not to take anything away from them. It's just nice to hear it slowed down

Damn, this is exactly what I wanted to do. I'm not even trying to do better than this. This is heartfelt, deep and sweet.
Great job :-)
Only one thing: put more backing vocals. One thing Bad Religion thaught me is that no matter what, there's always room for more backing vocals :-)

Impressive, boys. By the way, Brett's songs are better than Greg's. His sense of melody is better.
theunsheep 3 years ago
This is an understatement. Note that the albums where Brett was absent (or in rehab...) sucked badly.
But then again, Greg's lyrics are the reason why I was hyped to get phylosophy classes in college. It just balances everything :-)

I thought all of BR's albums had some really good tracks on them, that's why I have no clue what my favourite album was.
tprimex2000 3 years ago
I would choose against the grain, generator, the gray race, new america and new maps on top 5
RicardoSaid 3 years ago
yeah, Against the Grain is definitely up there. I love the version of 21st Century Digital Boy on that one.
