Maaan what can i say. Simply awesome. I just thought it was some random ordinary video before watching, but had to watch to the end "Fantastic" is all i can say. I love Africa and it's people.
this is real dance love, spirit and communication things like this the all world need to see and put the money in such talent young people like this for me they are the real roll models. big up..........
When I listed to African drums, I have an interesting feeling - the sounds cover the space like a huge orchestra with various instruments...And then I notice - man but it is ONLY drums...How can it be so :)
@hendrixphish420 We do, We call it "THE SOUL TRAIN Line"!But there was a beach in Chicago called the Bongo Beach (when I was young)where they would play drums and people will stand around and listen and some would dance!
Vincent, thanks for making this video available. It's being featured at Chaah's Guide to the World's Cities, as an introduction to Conakry. Simply awesome!
Tnks for the answer , when are you coming to mexico ??? we like very much this video is one of my favorites very nice , say hi to all the ballette NAFAYA From Mexico , and we hope to see you perform live one day.
I love that so much!!!!!!!!! I am from Togo, and there's a little similarities in the dances. But I love it. It makes you wanna get up and starts dancing. Great job. Merci beaucoup.
jazjuice I just simply wanted to know the name of the dance. all of the insults wasn't neccessary. if you would look it don't say the name of the dance or song. plus if it did i wouldn't know beacuse its in another language.
Rhythm and dance known as DunDun Ba, "dance of strength". Drum is the Djembe, The People are in Guinee, probably "SuSu" language. Its not as hot there as it gets around cars, concrete or brick. If you are of African ancestry; Study Arican heritage and culture !!
And dymepeacediamond:
"shut the fu*k up" is certainly uncalled for in this forum !!
my friend and i r african dancers, and someone showed this video 2 us and uh... it was similar 2 ours. The dancers have ALOT of energy and stamina. AT like 8:45 in the HOT sun with all that energy stamina and excitment. These people know all the steps, and arent only having fun with in but also doing the steps PERFECTLY! ROCK ON!!!!!
Ever wonder where the community went? Double dutch is the same thing you see here. Only double dutch has no drum, no males, no elders or their memory of their ancestral songs or celebrations. Housing projects are poor excuses. Where do we recreate this?
So beautiful are the rhythms and the people,my people.Slavery could not destroy all my connection to Africa, for I feel a stirring deep in my soul when I hear and see Africa! One love.
